Yeah, so that means Ian Callinan is only one game from qualifying for Central, which with the Crows win tonight, could happen next weekend against Sturt?

Also, based on the Crows performance tonight, I would think it is quite possible the likes of Jack Gunston, Ricky Henderson, Taylor Walker, Chris Knights and maybe Ivan Maric might not be seen at SANFL level for the rest of the year.

The interesting thing to unfold will be which of the qualified players are actually given permission by their respective AFL clubs to participate in the SANFL finals.

Rodan has 2 for Norwood aswell and was very close to playing Number 3 this week
Wasnt Simon Phillips taken as a rookie, which would mean he only needs 1 more? He is out for season though so moot point

Glenelg have a fair few if they make finals but apart from Cornes the rest are ordinary.
Id be happy if Walker didnt qualify, we have climbed to top spot and doing doing fine.
A bonus if these guys play but I reckon we are going along ok

We were chatting about this the other week, I thought he was taken by Gold Coast on rookie list and traded to Port for draft picks where Port upgraded him

Might just be temporarily though Jim ;)

Couldn't agree more that qualified players given permission to play SANFL finals are a bonus, not a necessity, for the good clubs to win in the major round.

AFAIK you can't trade people on a rookie list. I think Phillips was pre listed and then on traded to the Puffs.

I reckon Nutta will be a necessity, for us to have a chance this year. Yes, I know we've won without him etc, etc.

Central v Norwood at Elizabeth is getting more and more mouth watering every week

I think played his first game of football for 2011 a couple of weeks ago for South's reserves, played for North's seconds last week against Central and I assume he fronted in the ressies again yesterday against West Adelaide.

Assuming he played at Richmond Oval this weekend, that would be the 3 games for Mr James TSG.
