before this year i thought thiele was a waste of space, but now he is an important cog. must be thriving under a new coach?
backing up last weeks effort was so important for the lads.

since james allan joined the club, id like to know the win/loss ratio when he was injured, and out of the team. just curious.

From the radio.
Sounded a a bit feisty, littered with frees and off the ball incidents. Very poor skill levels with both sides turning it over time after time.
Westies wasteful inside 50 and let North off the hook with some pretty wayward kicking in front of goal, particularly from Hartlett.
Suprised to see the free kick count 21 - 13 in favour of West.
Moran going off possibly didn't help West, but it sounded like he was getting a towelling from Gill and then Motlop so maybe he shouldn't have played in the 1st place.
Armstrong sounded good for North as did Theile and Ivens.
Good to get back to back wins. Shame South won, but North's percentage must be worth a point.
Well done Roosters. A challenge for the 5 ??

Not a silly question actually, have heard a few say that he actually slows up our ball movement forward, not sure if that is right or not, seeing i havent seen much footy in the last 2 seasons. If thats true it would be only cause he runs himself into the ground and occasionally needs to take a breath

Think the South result hurt Norths finals chances. 2 and a half games out with only 5 matches left. Would probably need to beat Norwood and Centrals to get in.

just to be even thought of as a 1% chance of finals is a credit to the boys, from where we were a few weeks ago. we have been OK this year.certainly a better style. normally i dont take credence to the gelling of a side and gameplan, but this is an exception to the rule i think. from defensive at all cost, to playing with flair will take time.im sure most north supporters are very much looking forward to 2012 with a fair bit of confidence.

Agreed. There is probably a couple of sides in the 5 who would be hoping North dont make it.
Plenty to look forward to

Seems to be a recurring theme for a certain team.

Moran had a hairdressing appointment he couldn't miss. JTC, have to tell ya that North were MUCH better than the Blooods,The dream is alive. Just.

A hard fought game with a few westies blokes getting excited, hence a couple of reports that wont have legs. Good win by the Rooooooosters!!!!

No, being 3-10 hurt North's chances.

Collins surely must be under the pump to keep his job. Would a heavy loss to Norwood in their next appointment see the end of his reign?

Umpires didn't help Westies.
I wasn't going to go today but was glad I did.
The decked part around the bar is the best spot to watch footy anywhere, awesome set up and great to see Westies providing for fans (not the fatcats).
If anyone hasn't been to Richmond since this has been done up get there.
Retook the mantle of no 1 BBQ for me today after a sensational patty sandwich.
North's first quarter was good, after that West did what North used to do, spend 5 minutes attacking then one turnover from the backlines costs them a goal.
Back to my first point, WTF did West do to the umpires during the week?
First time I'd seen Miles for North and impressed, Bennett continues to impress, Mouse good, Armstrong great, Motlop friggint awful, Gallman fantastic, Ryswyk fantastic, Thiele fantastic, Gill good early and late.
Booze cheaper at Richmond too, love the place!

Great that Bennett and Thiele continue too improve and be consistent. Francou is certainly getting some good performances out of some that weren't regulars last year. Miles did a great job in the ruck also.

Agreed that Richmond is a great place for the fans. Why North can't get their act together and spend some of the cash on facilities at prospect, I just can't work out. But anyway, great work by the Roosters. Skills weren't always smooth, but they put in a big effort the whole time, can't ask more than that.

An average North got out of second gear for a total of about 45 minutes today - the rest of the game they bordered on very average to bad however how could you gauge with West who were shocking for 90 percent of the game. North really didn't have to do too much more after the first quarter because West didn't even look like it so North went into snooze and slack mode for most of the remainder of the game but should have won by at least 10 goals plus if they were really trying?
What has happened to West??? They are gone and I would say Collins is as well. Poor turnout by the West supporters - they have dropped as you would expect but North supporters would have accounted for 2/3's of the crowd today.
Umpiring - baffling at times but both sides got ridiculous soft frees and 25's however West ended with around 8 more frees on the day so that says it all..
I wonder if Collins is going to sprout rubbish in the media this time re the "physicality" of the game considering West allowed Gallman to get under each of his opponents skins (and their supporters) and that resulted in a fair number of West players doing some very undisciplined things to a number of North players.
Miles was very very good in ruck and actually started in ruck and played the number 1 role well (PS Wedgie - he has only missed 2 games this year btw so hard to imagine you haven't seen him before??? Maybe you meant young Sam Mayes who was impressive in his 2nd game?)
Decking outside the bar is superb and well done to the WAFC.
BBQ good but my vote still goes to the BBQ at Noarlunga.

My bad, you're right, I did mean Mayes.
Mind you Ive only been sober at two games so there's no wonder I can't remember many of them!
