Welcolme everyone to a big day of footy in the SANFL...

I am here at Cooper Stadium, The Parade, for the clash between the Redlegs and Magpies, tradiotinal rivals.

Looking forward to this contest immensly as well as reading and listening other score updates from across the day.

Where ever you are, whatever game you are watching, listening or reading about, enjoy the day.

As many would have seen a few weeks ago, Coopers Stadium was wuite a boggy mess for the clash between Norwood and North. I must say, the ground staff have done a fantastic job to get the oval looking the way it does now.

There are some brown patches from where all the mud was, scattered across the ground but it looks like the players will be able to at least get some grip with their boots.

The reserves game just underway now, will post quarter by quarter score updates as per the norm.

Big Phil, have you heard whether the Roosters have got D Stewart available?

Sorry mate, I can't say I have.

If there is any doubt on a Power forward or ruckman, they may hold Daniel back from playing SANFL today in case there is a late change to the Power line up tomorrow.

Daniel Stewart may end up not playing any footy at all this weekend, I guess time will tell in a few hours?

Weather wise, it is a pretty good day for football today here in the leafy Eastern Suburbs town of Norwood :D

There was a bit of overnight rain (I know this because I live... ahhh, you know) but as mentioned earlier, the ground is looking alright considering how it looked a fortnight ago.

Temperature wise, it feels about a comfortable 13 or 14 degrees, with a little bit of cloud cover that makes it drop a couple of degrees cooler when blocking out the sun.

Correct...

And with Ivan Maric going up to the Crows, former Westies and Eagles ruckman Judd Robson will make his League debut for the Maggies.

Do Bloods or Eagles fans know whether Judd played League footy at either of the other 2 SANFL clubs?

Quarter Time at Richmond:

West 2.2 14
North 2.5 17

Goals
West: Ahmat-Watkins, Ribbons.
North: Boras, B Renshaw.

Moran playing league for us. I assume Stewart the same for the roosters as Mason is in the 2s.

So 2 ins and only 1 out.
Would seem to suggest one more to miss, still hearing Langford in, Doyle out.
Can you confirm BP?

Thanks Bloods, I didn't think so...

And I'm not sure he did with the Eagles either, so it's every chance it will be his SANFL League Debut today...

I'll try and find out at half time Jim, but with Tom Langford NOT out there in the reserves, you would think it has to be one of say Doyle or Bown (perhaps resting the veteran) out?

Handy 27 point lead to Norwood late in half.
Entertaining game so far.

Just saw a ripper goal in the reserves game here at The Parade...

Number 1 for the Redlegs, Jake Mazzone, was running to the goal line with a shot from team mate Trevor Baust looking like it might have possibly hit the post.

To eliminate any doubt whatsoever, young Mazzone 'mid air vollied' the ball on the full to kick the goal. It was a beauty !!!

Half time scores in the ressies clash to follow shortly.
