I was at work (had the tv on in the background) so correct me if i miss heard it but they were showing the average crowds for port & crows in 1997 & compared it to this year, (obviously the differences are the crows were winning a few games & the power franchise were new to that competition hence a bigger crowd average), then she (good on her for doing some homework) said paraphrasing that surprisingly the average crowd at sanfl games are up....surely it is obvious why only the diehards go when a team struggles which is happening at footy park while at sanfl level you generally see a great contest.

The other factor is that there are several groups on facebook along with various callers to 5AA that are saying that they "will not attend another AFC match whilst Neil Craig remains as Coach". I do think that is having an effect also.

I am one of them and have about 15 people within a 5 meter sitting area of our seats that are the same. We made a pact after the WCE game that we would not return until NC is gone.
So if anyone wants some season tickets PM me.

That's a bit harsh , do you follow The Crows or the coach ? Would have thought they require all the support they can get . I have heard the same when Williams was coaching but their crowds never increased when he left.

Your comment about the Horses head wasn't harsh though.A bit harsh on horses though.

Craig Hutchison and Grant Thomas are attractive enough though?

Hutches' suggestion that SA doesn't deserve 2 teams because of our crowds is ridiculous. Kangas, Demons and Bulldogs would kill for 30,000 per game when playing against interstate sides in outdoor stadia in the timeslots that we get.

I have already told him this Booney, he and supporters like him (ie Farmy) are an embarrassment to the AFC and your thread that takes the p*ss out of him in the Port Board is great .

I wonder how many of his 15 man pact actually go through with it and how many were just going along with his ranting at the game.

Really disappointing to read the comments of some on here saying they wont go to a game specifically because of a coach or whatever. Having moved over enemy lines last year i thought it would be a good idea to get a crows vic membership for our 7 games over there. Whilst it has not been the best year to be a crows fan in vic when getting pantsed by teams such as the dogs and demons, I have enjoyed it and find the crowds over their to be generally fairer and more hospitible then anything i have ever met at footy park (one carlton moron being the exception in rd 5). You support your team through thick and thin and this makes the good times all the more enjoyable (not that i have seen to many crows bad times).
