fell awkwardly and did not move afterwards. Didn't look good.

Knee or broken leg I would say.

The Dogs just keep getting the job done, said it a thousand times.
Not good for Obst, hope its not as bad as it seems.

For 3 quarters it was a tight, even, and at times entertaining game where South showed how much they've improved this year by keeping pace with Centrals.

Despite a strong breeze favouring the northern end, Centrals was the only side that took advantage of it in the 2nd quarter, where they slammed home 8 goals to 4, and in the end that was the difference between the 2 sides.

Wasn't a bad game to watch really .... Nice tight game up till half time . After the break the dogs far too good. To the supporters near us on the hill. I would have thought you would have a fair knowledge of the game when your dedicated enough to make the trip from Elizabeth. Can honestly say I have never heard so much b*tching bout umpiring in all my life. Every blow of the whistle.

Was in my opinion the best umpired game I've seen this season and I've seen about 25 games.

I was there also. I heard the crowd react to only about three missed frees, honestly. I wonder if you go to many games. I guess we heard different things. Well done to the boys. Chris first game back kicks about four, not bad for an old fella. Unfortunately it feels like a loss, with obst getting injured.

I'd have to agree. Thought the umpiring was fine. Hardly noticed them.

Another game, another injury! Doesn't look good for Alby. On the radio they said it was his knee. A huge loss.

Really happy with how Centrals are playing at the moment. It just shows how strong our club structures are. Players seem to slot in without any problems. Looks like we need to find another one after today as well.

Good to go 3/3 against South this year.

Disapointing for Obst to get injured, was only 5 meters away from where it happened he was in lots of pain and the boundary umpire knew about it.

Thought Templeton did a good job on Wundke after the 1st quarter.

Schiller just gets better every single week.

Agreed umpiring was fine. I like watching footy at that oval. Good facilities, etc. Didn't even mind the ground announcer, volume wasn't a problem. Nice game by pumpa, dunne, Eddie and prob best on ground chris. South had some good forwards, probably broke down at half forward too much.

Today was further evidence of why people shouldnt get to carried away with the sides that are printed in the papers and media.

Paul Thomas wasnt even named in any side yet played and played well today.

What happened to Varcoe is it true he was injured in the warmup, heard he was meant to play league today.

I found him to be worse today than at the night game earlier in the year. With the temporary speakers not in use today, looks like South decided to turn the volume of the old system up full pelt, which made him somewhat unbearable in the stand. Also needs to do some research about opposition players if he's going to rattle off stats and shut up celebrating each South goal over the PA system it was cringeworthy. Music after every South goal (like the night game) is tolerable, the dribble we had to hear today after every South goal was terrible. South should get rid of him because he is an embarrassment to their club.

Spoke to Alan Obst in the Dogs rooms post game and he said he heard the pop, which will be ACL, having done one myself.

Also sounds like he has a torn the medial ligament as well.

Season ending injury which is no doubt disappointing for him and the Dogs.

Varcoe was in the reserves. Saw him go off the ground I think it was early in the second quarter. Then didn't see him again (may have gone back on I just didn't notice). He was running along the boundary though at one stage.

I thought it was ridiculous that the field umpire told the boundary ump to throw the ball back into play, even though Obst was on the ground with his injury. I thought common sense would prevail and the umpire would wait for obst to be clear of the play. But then again not too many umpires use common sense.

Had to laugh when he thought terry Jenner had kicked a goal for centrals. Varcoe driver muscle in the warm up, two weeks.

Speaking of common sense was great to see a Weslo bloke who actually had some. Number 30 you are the first decent Weslo worker that i have ever met!
