Glenelg had a good win in round 14 and coach Kris Massie will be hoping to build on that this week when they come up against an Eagles side that have lost their last 2 games.
This is a tough game to select, the Bays at home are a definite chance, however I'll tip WWT by 3 goals.

HUGE game for the Bays, this one. They and Sturt have played one more game than everyone else and the Bay's next bye is the following week. To keep in touch with the five, this is almost a 4 point game for the Bays. Likewise, the Eagles will be looking for some breathing space in third spot after a horrid month of football.
Results of Central v South at Noarlunga and Sturt v Port at Unley could also have a real bearing on the Bay's fight for the five.

This is a huge game for Glenelg. Win and they're still in with a big chance of making top 3. Lose and they'll still be fighting tooth and nail to make the 5.
Likewise the Eagles, win and they feel a little more comfortable in 3rd spot. Lose and a team as low as Sturt will still think they're a chance to make the top 3.

Should be a tough and tight contest .. The Eags have lost their last two .. In fact 3 of their last 4 just scraping in by a kick in their only win.
I reckon that means they will sooner rather than later react to their downturn in form and steady the ship.
The Bays found some much needed confidence on the weekend, and I believe still have far too much talent in their list to not threaten at some stage this season.
Will probably wait to see what AFL selections does for each of these sides, but perhaps lean toward the Eagles by less than 2 goals at this stage.

Damn, damn, damn!
I’ve got a spare ticket for Sunday and I just can’t decide which game to go to.
I’d love to be there if South really put it together and knock off the Dogs, but given the ladder positions of the Eags and Tiges,
I reckon the sparks might fly at The Bay and be a real scratch and bite finish. Might just have to toss a coin Sunday morning.
Any suggestions on which game will be the best to watch and why ?

South v Centrals. Both have winning form. The other game is for the battlers.

i think it unlikely south or centrals will win this game.
my bet is that it will be between the eagles and the bays. with the bays winning in an upset

Eagles to kick a record season high of 8 goals and just beat the Bays by a 7 points in a scrappy affair with lots of backwards and sideways kicking

With the rain we have had this week Glenelg Oval would be a mud bath so I don't think high scoring is on the cards,
whoever can adapt best will win but not by much
Rain is further predicted for Friday and Saturday

Glenelg have had new turf laid at the Bay 'Go Legs' as they will be hosting shield cricket games so the drainage is improved and the surface at Gliderol is really good now.

Given the rain we had Mon, Tue, Wed, looking at the square on Wednesday night, if I'd won the toss I wouldn't have been upset at batting first.
Still pretty firm with a good covering of grass. Yep it would have seamed around a bit early but get through the first 10 overs and it you'd be "in". Just got to be worried about the Bay oval low bounce still.
Bay oval much different beast since the oval work in 2009/2010 to amke it suitable for 1st class cricket if required.
