Footy Fans Survey

Postby HOORAY PUNT » Tue Jun 21, 2011 8:26 pm

I think the SANFL should do one , see if wecan get biased result as well. Get on and click away , it's the worst I have ever seen , half the questions are non footy related and oncea gain leaves you with a deliberate limited choice. But the 1 question about SANFL needs to be answered as do a couple of others.

They really knnow how to deal with the big issues

I thought last year's survey was bad. This year's edition has sunk even lower again and I doubt it could be even classified as a footy fan survey

Thought it was in poor taste to ask this question;
How do you rate AFL footballers’ attitudes towards women?

Then wants you to judge the best wag followed up by who is punching above their weight.

The question should be asked about the media's attitude to women.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Every year I get an email to complete this...despite never having given the AFL or The Tiser site my addy.

Tried to complete it the first 2 years but...

a) there is never any option to say AFL is 'not applicable' or that you only follow the SANFL
b) you fill the whole damn thing out cos you want to answer the SANFL part, lying about all the AFL questions cos you can't not answer any and at the very end you find it will only accept an Australia postcode.

Suggestion for those that run it...take the overseas supporters off your bloody list or make it open to everyone who pays their membership each year regardless of location..

Very very disapointing.

Used to be a great survey in that showed SANFL still held mild or strong interest in over 90% of respondents. Indeed that percentage was growing over previous years.

I agree with HP that it needs to be done for one or two questions but its a dumbing down of football fan opinions.

Probbaly the reason why it no longer figures in the survey. I also agree with Jas , needs a not applicable or don't care option .

That survey sums up the AFL really..flashy and shiny without any real substance. I feel less of a person for doing it 8)
SAFC- 60 years...

Surveys are a dangerous tool, as decisions are made on the basis of the answers when in reality most people aren't honest when they fill them in.
Christ, the UK had a census about 10 years ago and 400,000 put Jedi as their religion. :D

I have firmly believed for more than 20 years that the biggest impediment to the rise and rise of the SANFL has been lightweight - edited, please don't make those accusations on here- Leigh Whicker. He has all the qualities of the family dog - except loyalty.
Eddie runs the AFL and Demetriou picks up (I think) about $2milliion a year for doing little else than being a dictatoral puppett with Victorian overtones.

Ah but the religion question is 'voluntary' so doesn't have to be answered at all and the instructions said that unrecognised religions would be return as no answer given (or words to that effect)...thank goodness ;)

Did it....poor survey. Did not even ask what SANFL club you support or how many SANFL games you attend. :(

Looks like footy now in the AFL is all about how you look and who your partner is!!!
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
