great win and great football blues!!! well done to all! :D

i know westies were depleted but to get done like that by the bottom side is not good. they'd want to hurry up and get their players back before too long.

dad mentioned mcdonald had a good game, martin and sheedy too, plus hansen backed up last week with a good one and f. evans was good too.

looking fwd to the dvd of the game to arrive on tuesday.

Great win by the Double Blues, we had good run out of defense and link up players through the midfield. Not sure about the stats but I thought we had a good balance with our handpass to kick ratio today, we tend to over use the handpassing.
Umpiring was pretty bad today with West on the wrong end of it alot of the time. I think it's time that we looked at the umpiring and tried to develop ways to simplify some of the rules or interpretations. There's too many frees given for small, incidental crap that has no affect on the game.
Would blues supporters dare dream of making the finals?

The best thing about today was simply the application from the boys. You could see it from the first minute, whereas a depleted West just couldn't get themselves going in the first half, lots of mistakes and bad decisions were eventually punished by Sturt (for once). The one thing I hope the team gets out of this is self belief such that they can make me eat my words and finish the season well... and yes umpiring went our way today.

I hope the Blues stick with Norman.

Lost 7 or 8 players from the 2010 team, didn't he...

He will coach the year out regardless of the last two results. I can't see him being there next year though.

Why do they come out and play like that this week but not others. It would br frustrating for Normo.

They weren't up against much today but still. :?

Happy with his coaching Barto ? When you go week in week out and see the moves that are made , when you see the selections as well and the game style you tend to make an assessment of a coach. That would be difficult if you don't see games however.

No they are just responsible for tearing the game apart at State level and ruining the game at national level.

Collo has spoken a number of times about how the club has been developing depth. Showed today that some of our fringe players are actually way off the pace. Time to let Bricknell go. Also thought Moran looked like he was miles away from the level.

Actually thought Moran did well when playing across CHB. Has no idea up forward though. Agree on Bricknell. Shearer, S Ezard, Anderson and Webb aren't league players at the moment. Davenport needs to be dropped to the power or played in the reserves. Doesn't look interested.

Very impressed with the effort of our reserves today. Had at least 6 or 7 kids make their reserves debuts and most were quite impressive.

It hasn't been a happy hunting ground for the Bloods for quite a while now, has it?

Central hadn't won a League premiership the last time West sung the song at Unley for a league win !!

Yeh, well they pinched our song, which we'd pinched off someone else ;)

I can't even blame the umpires today, even though all the Sturt people agree they shellacked us today. 60 frees in a game of footy, FFS :?

Well played Sturt.
