One word is disappointing.
We start so well, play some good footy then lapse away and let the opposition reel us in.
Still, the Bays are in the Five and we are not, so I would have expected a pretty competitive game which is what we turned out with, to get a draw against a side that will be playing in the finals is a better result no doubt than losing to them. - Thanks Daniel for jagging it back when it counted!

Am I right in saying that Souths only loss at Noarlunga this year has been to Central District

correct whatever
didnt expect a 34-20min last qtr
both teams should be disappointed they couldnt clinch win
grima reported again, should get off, it deserved a 50m but thats all i believe.
Kirk had a brain freeze gave away a 25m or 50m and he was very late which resulted in south goal.
Both teams should be swabbed

Correct, Central were, and still are, the only side to beat the Panthers at home in season 2011, so far.

Yep. It was by 6 goals, but the margin only blew out in the last 5 minutes.
Sounds like they should have done the Bays tonight.

south controlled first half and shouldve lead by more at the half.
Glenelg then controlled 3rd and some of the 4th before it went goal for goal

So where did T grima play ? He got reported again so ,if I am right , we now have a points system so he will be in trouble .Seems to be a very frustarted footballer right now . Wonder why ?

T Grima played defence
who knows why he is frustrated, we wouldnt be frustrated if he delivered the goods in september/october

Any injuries from this game?
Sounded like an epic contest - no doubt there will be lot of "general soreness" at the very least.

I should be commenting on what a great contest it was. (which...I guess it was) but the overriding emotion is disgust.
DISGRACEFUL UMPIRING!
Maybe the result would have been the same.
Maybe my team would have won. (I reckon they might have)
BUT FFS! These umpires had no feel for the game whatsoever. Too many stupid frees paid when the game was on the line & the whistle should have been put away.
Games at Noarlunga ARE a great night at the footy. But this (high quality) game was ruined by what was served up by the umpires tonight.
I dont really like posting diatribe like this ... but I live locally and came straight home & I'm still ******* fuming that we didnt get the points.

The worst umpiring I have seen in a long long time...cue spelly, what is the most goals kicked directly from free kicks. At least 8 in the second half tonight.

I remember I posted about the umpiring standard and got shot down. The umpiring standard is below standard and they are not held accountable and it's been like it for years . People say Williams is a good umpire and one of the better ones , we are in real trouble if so. The umpiring at SANFL footy is below par.

YEP! i reckon the pick of the umpires got the NWD v CD blockbuster at the parade. The next best get the PA v ST at footy park & the crap ones were sent down to Noarlunga on a potentially schite weather night.
Worst performance umpiring Ive seen.
I never sworn so much at a footy match. luckily there were no kids in the vicinity, I nearly busted a fricken vein! Everyone around me agreed South & Bay crew alike. It was SHITE!

Good venue, good game. Real roller coaster at the end. Lost, won, lost won, draw! My heart....
Yes there was some angst about umpiring. Fact is if the Bays hadn't had their usual start the game would have been won. If South had done what they should've in the first half they would have won. A draw probably not a bad result.
I'm hoarse.

At least it was consistently baffling tonight. The overuse of 25m penalties annoyed me, other than that I thought it was one of the better games I've seen this season.
