Average Attendances to Rd 9

Norwood 5150*
Glenelg 4296
Sturt 3837
Port Adelaide 3585*
Central District 3465
West Adelaide 3035
W.WT 2723
North Adelaide 2673
South Adelaide 2390

Of course some teams have played more home games than others and it is only to Rd 9...
*This inludes a 3482 (15% crowd given to Norwood and Port from Rd 1 Curtain Raiser) which could be deleted and then their average divided by 1 less game! We all know that this crowd as a stand alone game would have probable been double the 15% of AFL total crowd.

Night games have really helped WAFC two years in a row. Before the lights, they were usually the smallest attended club Home/away average.

I'm surprised the Norwood figure isn't slightly higher.

9 flags in 11 years and Central are 5th on the list ... jeez, some people are hard to please!

- Sturt v North @ Unley
- South v Central @ Noarlunga

Im surprised Central are that high considering we still have Port, Norwood, Glenelg and Sturt to play at home.

Though ANZAC day does inflate that figure.

Hard to appeal to the bandwagon element when there's no improvement to be had. Not an issue for Glenelg over the year I guess.

Can anyone provide the figures for average attendances per club, for all matches so far this season?

Norwood looks to have a big lead with home games but has also had a game at Adelaide Oval and Football Park. (BTW, I think the figure for Rd 1 is slightly higher, around 5,400-5,600, and was based on the attendance at 3/4 time of the curtain raiser). But we haven't played South as yet, which also reflects in their figures as Norwood seem to be the biggest crowd drawers.

Cant believe Sturt couldn't get 2,000 to Unley for a home game.

Hi Squawk - my stats up the top were for all matches not home matches!
I take the point as well that the Rd 1 Nd v PA figures should be more like 20-25% not 15% - I may adjust these accordingly

South v Central is always likely to be under 2k until South get a bigger supporter base. Longest trip apart from country games makes it the hardest to get opposition fans there.

It would actually be really useful if we could separate home and away crowds in these figures.

No night games at home certainly doesn't help! Plus less than 2,000 at Noarlunga!
