Round 9 - Port v Panthers @ Alberton - 2.10pm Sat 28/5/11

The Panthers have shown significant improvement this year and will fancy their chances against a very inconsistent Port side desperately hoping for a win at home. The Magpies showed against West a couple of weeks ago that they can mix it with the top sides on their day, however the loss against Norwood shows they're a long way off being a legitimate contender. South have better form coming into this game and I think they'll win by about 3 goals.

Port, seriously, this is your last chance. If you can't beat South at your own bloody oval, we're OVER!! Port by 29 points.

South have only won at Alberton about 10 or 11 times in over 100 years. Hardly a record of playing pretty good footy there.

If Port can't beat South they'll finish bottom with the Power.

history says port, but that's in the past, while we should see a response from port after last weeks debacle i'd think if south play as good as last week they'll be too good for port

Tight game this one, evenly matched teams that both rely on confidence, when they're up they're good, if not, they are vulnerable.

Well this is another match that we will win. Over the years we haven't beaten Port Adelaide too many times but I am confident that Cocky and co will stick it up em this weekend.

South by 44 points and we will make the 5 this year.

Yeomans played some footy at South I reckon just a few years ago.

South changes:

IN: Cockshell, Perrey, Rolfe, Lyons
OUT: Cook (Crows?), Irra (U18s)

Happy to see Rolfe back. Will be handy crumbing to Ainger and Wundke (who interestingly in listed on the extended bench). Much stronger Port team than the one that ventured to Noarlunga at Easter. Bit worried about this game, could go either way.
