If some had said to me at the start of the day "you can have a Westies win by 76 points" I would have taken it everytime. After the game, I think we should have won by plenty more. Second half we tried to play "cute" football and it didnt work for us..thats not our style. We stopped running and tried things that we wouldn't normally do. I guess thats me being a bit critical but thats how I feel.

Brad Fishers ankle looked terrible.I wouldnt be suprised if it is broken, it had blown up twice its normal size. Then towards the end of the game Ben Fisher limps off then ground with an ankle injury...two important players in our gameplan.

Jimmy Ezazd is an amazing player, he just tries his guts out. Willets has improved so much this year too. Webb was much better today too.

Our pressure was fantastic again at the ball and opposition and at one stage a South player actually tried to dodge his own shadow thinking it was a red and black jumper.

One for the Power....can somebody teach Matt Lobbe to mark above his shoulders? Team went through him constantly and I cannot remember him taking a mark. Once the ball hits the ground its good but his marking is woeful.

Overall a good win but still yet to be convinced we are a top team. Time and injuries will tell.

Willits gave cockshell a bath today, both in ruck and around the ground.

Totally agree. Willets has improved so much in the past 12 months.

What did you think of the umpires Saintal? Thought your mob got a pretty good run, especially in the second half.

Didn't notice them too much but yeah, we had a few more. Final count SA: 21-15

The couple of reports will surely be thrown out. Nothing in them whatsoever.

Cockshell report should be thrown out but I can understand from where the umpire was that it did look reportable.I had a clear view and there wasn't much in it the umpire was on the otherside of the incident.

You would have thought with the Bloods first at the ball all day the free kicks would have been in their favour. I reckon the umpires could see the Panthers in trouble and tried to help in the second half.

Agree Bloods08, Rankine was super in only his second (?) game....how quick is he?

I dont know if it was the white jumper, but not one Panther player stood out to me. Maybe number 1 but thats it.

For my two cents, I liked how the umpires put away the whistles in the first half, however they came out in fury after half time. Consistant, but in two halves. :-\

Very committed today westies - once again, we win and lose two players - I thought it was ankles to both ben and brad fisher and a 2-3 week injury.

Looks like Moran, Piasente and Anderson are very close to resuming and Hartlett is ahead of schedule too. Its hopeful that maybe one of these may play friday.

Ahmat-Watkins and Motlop are said to have played very well in the ressies while Nelson also caught the eye of a few in ruck.

Cook tried v. hard for the panthers - an honest effort from him.

Not sure this game is the best advertisement for the comp though ? All you see is terracing ,not a good look.
