Just happy to see us win this one. All the new boys stepped up well. Obst got better and better as the game went on.

Chad had another good game in the reserves. Look forward to seeing him back in the league soon.

Obst looked very ordinary early, dropped a couple of fairly regulation marks.

Sturt aren't such a great side this year but after such a taxing game last week I was expecting a fairly close game. Was relieved to have a fairly comfortable win without the same toll being taken. Saw Jenner go off hoppefully just a knock to the knee fairly late. And M Westhoff vanished at one point. He's been pretty good for us so far this year I think.

Was also good to see Duncan and Hynes battle away down back. Never gave up despite being often matched against much bigger bodies. Duldig kicked 5 from 9 shots but really to threaten the dogs with the aid of a good mismatch the whole game he needed to kick a few more.

Good to notch another win, but not a whole lot more to worry about or celebrate apart from a few guys coming in and doing a job just to prove the depth we have.

Good to see former Doggies Premiership player and Norm Russell Medalist (Dogs B&F) in Marco Bello out at Unley cheering his former club today.

Funny how people see things .Bartlett's first league game and has a way to go and Riley was very ordinary and most of us were saying how poorly he played and I thought Thomson was quiet after half time.

NNice warm up game for Obst on the loose not accountable Hinge. Obst will put his mark on the comp in the 2nd half of the year and Central skill level is the only thing that seperates them, not game plans etcetc just superb skills .Their good to watch at times.

I understand big phil, the role of the commentator is to create an image in the listeners mind. Hearing you say "the computers gone down on me, in the commentary box", probably wasn' t ideal.

Just on that game, I have to say the last quarter of the ressies was one of the most entertaining (reserves games) I've seen in a long time. Excellent skills from both sides. I got to the ground at about the 5 or 6 minute mark of the last quarter...with both teams on 10 goals...then saw a classic shoot out until the Double Blues pulled away at the end. I reckon there was about 11 goals scored in 12-15 minutes of footy. Certainly, both forward lines were on top...but JMac was unstoppable on a couple of occasions and sealed the deal.

O'Sullivan got plenty of ball too, and used it well.

Well done to players from both sides and cheers for the entertainment :)

I know We whacked Glenelg last weekend but We haven't won at Dungley for a while & that will always be in the back of the players' minds, combined with an unsettled line-up & I feel it will be a close one.

don't care, top 3 at the end of the minor round, get the double chance, that's the goal.

For me the game was played in two parts. Central before quarter time and Central after quarter time.

Central were ordinary in the first quarter, killed at the stoppages and the big men struggled big time, at one stage 4 men went up and no one down, resulted in a Sturt goals. Sanbury was terrible and Pumpa looked lost, to both of their credit they played really well in the last 3 quarters.

After quarter time we played pretty well, Luke Barmby was BOG imho, and Jenner and Thomas Dunne were really good as well, Obst came into the game and Matty Westoffs workrate at the moment is first class. Hardy is getting better every week.

Habel struggled big time today and on occasions looks like he suffers from nerves. I thought Cullen tried hard and despite not getting alot of the ball his effort was there. Hynes was better than the 5 goals Duldig kicked on him suggests, dont think any of fatdogs goals came of the lead.

Good to get the win at Unley after the last few years.

Very happy to be sitting 4-1 with 8 more games at Elizabeth and 2 away trips against South to come.

I thought Sutherland dropping back into the backlines changed the game . That was halfway through the 2nd and things slowly turned from there. Sturt put Central under a lot of pressure early and deserved their lead but then Sturts skills fell away which is how Central gained momentum . Sturt missed too many achieveable goals to keep close and against a top side you must take them .A bit baffling the 25m penalty and the holding the ball rule , well our umpires have no idea. Umpiring is sub standardand laughable at times. In the 1st Quarter a Central player was called to play on after receiving the ball back from the Sturt player , he must have had the ball in his hands for 2 seconds and hardly moved and then was told to play on and resulted in a Sturt goal .A pretty good game really.

He was doing it from the opening bounce, only thing being in the first quarter he looked like he had never played that role before and was running around in circles.

But yes he was very effective from quarter time onwards.
