Round 5 - Glenelg v Centrals @ Glenelg - 2.10pm Sun 1/5/11

Postby GWW » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:12 pm

Centrals have shown the rest of the competition in the last 2 weeks, that they are still the team to beat for this year's flag. They come up against a fresh Glenelg side who will be hoping to carry over their round 3 form against Norwood. Playing at home, the Tigers are capable of an upset, however the Bulldogs are starting to approach their best form and its not wise to tip against them when this happens.

My tip: Centrals 22 points

Not according to the Norwood supporters, Central are gone due to their loss to West and our season is over.

That's the biggest load of rubbish i've heard for quite a while on this forum!

The Dogs last 2 matches have been scratchy...

Glenelg by 4 goals!

The Bays last 2 have been scratchy too. Keep going though. If your serious your deluded. If your not, you aren't convincing.

This will be an interesting test to see where both sides are at. Glenelg only has one player in the top 37 in the competition for disposal averages (Jordan McMahon - 25.3) so if they get a couple more players to step up then they'll be a show. Centrals on the other hand have more than a handful of players in form which need to be stopped, primarily the skipper who has torn Norwood and South apart in the past two weeks....

Centrals by 4-5 goals, but for the competition's sake I hope Glenelg by whatever

The stats so far are interesting ... as Scott alluded to, not many Bay players amongst it to date.

Have been very patchy and probably have only played maybe 4 decent quarters out of 12 so far, got out of gaol against the current bottom side, lost to the the current 2nd bottom side, and struggled to win against an undermanned Norwood.

Ordinary start to the season so Sunday will be a reasonable test.

Yep u wouldnt want any less than 5000 with the predicted sunny weather and two teams in form. I always look forward to playing the bays at the bay each year. This will be a close game and expect a result of no more than 2 goals either way.

Yeah, will help being a Sunday game as well, might mean a few more can get along to it. That being said, 2 other Sunday games the same day might take away from some nuetrals.

Dont know which ones.
Plenty including myself didnt think so. It was one loss early in season.
Reckon you will only drop a couple all year, should beat the bays by 6-7 goals
