Round 4 - Panthers v PA @ Hickinbotham-7.40pm Thurs 21/4/11

Both sides will be disappointed in their round 3 performance and will be desperate to show better form this week. By beating North under lights 2 weeks ago, the Panthers have shown that they play good footy at home, and having one extra day's preparation may be enough for them to win.
My tip: Panthers by 9 points

does the travel really become a factor with an hour or so drive?

As mentioned above, yery odd that Port would be scheduled on Sunday when they have to back up on Thursday night. Not that I’m complaining. Perhaps the SANFL was trying to avoid having Port play on the same day as the Showdown.
Both clubs will consider this a “must-win”. Port have had the edge over South the past few years, and hopefully we can turn that around.
It was suggested in the CD V SA recap thread that Ainger should be thrown forward for South to take some pressure off Wundke. I see that Talia is still a week or two away unfortunately, as he would be the perfect fit for Ainger’s defensive post.
South by 3 goals.

South need to come back from Saturdays disaster.
Im sure we will and make a stand.
Port have impressed me so far this year so it will not be a easy one.
South by 2 goals...

You wouldn't think so ,just AFL talk creeping into our game maybe ?
I think South might get up here.

Yeah...its such a long drive from Alberton to Noarlunga.
Get the oxygen tanks ready, change the time zones, keep them in a refrigerator for the artic conditions of Noarlunga - Port should then come out firing

I'll have the laptop down at Noarlunga mate, so yes, I will provide regular updates on here when I can...
I'll also be giving some Around The Grounds updates for 5RPH who are covering the West v Sturt game...
