Rnd 2 - Sturt v Norwood @ Adelaide Oval (Fri N 8/4)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 04, 2011 3:40 pm

This too will be an interesting game, especially to see how Sturt react to their fadeout against the Bays.

The Legs would have just been pleased to get the win over Port but would know they can play better.

Great to have night footy back at AO, I think Norwood might just be too strong for the Double Blues...

With their general lack of height, Sturt could be a better night side than a day one this year. However, Norwood still look too good in this one.

Note for the really keen that this game starts half an hour before the one at Richmond, so there might just be time to dash down there to catch the last few minutes of a famous Bloods victory!

Sturt by 5 goals..

...at three quarter time and then anything can happen in the last quarter.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I'm sure that could be worded better.......

Might be a good move for Swanee to kick off with "Beware The Dogs Are Coming" so us punters can nostalgic reflect on a time when Centrals used to lose occasionally

Oh, do they have a bat-mobile too?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

anyone else dissapointed in the 16's playing before the league not the ressies!?

im somewhat bias bacause i have a few mates in each ressies team and would like to watch them before the league, but surely that would be a better game before the 1's go round!??

I prefer watching the ressies, i can generally only get one day on the weekend to go to football so obviously that will be when the league are playing, i love watching the ressies to see whose coming through and potential league players that year.

Not a big issue to me but like i said i do prefer to be able to watch the ressies.

With the curtain raiser starting at 4.40pm, would ressies guys be able to get there early enough to properly prepare? I'm assuming they would all have to work on the Friday.

Usually they play the reserves prior and they are with the West v Central game, I guess it is a club by club decision.

I'd suggest the reserves players would have an agreement or understanding with their employers that allow them to leave early (I'd say for a 4.55pm start, they'd probably be expected to be at the ground an hour and half before hand so maybe finish work at 3pm?)
