Get it right SANFL

We have had the curtainraiser debacle, now with it's own thread ... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32267

Then FFS, how hard is it to get live scores right? Both the SANFL website and the newly launched iPhone app were cactus.

Is it really that hard? :ymdaydream:

Apparently, it is hard - it has hardly ever worked when I've tried the SANFL site for scores over the years.. ;)

I happened to be listening to ABC radio during their coverage of whatever AFL match it was - possibly Port/WC, and they said something along the lines of "and there's a match being played between Glenelg and Sturt, unfortunately we cannot get an update because the SANFL Website live scores isn't working". Needless to say, I lol'ed, but also got me wondering why they should rely on that to get the scores.

I think the WAFL have their s*** together on a number of things actually. For starters, it wouldn't be hard to be better than what the Football Budget has become - it's even worse this year with more ads, photos than ever! Plus some waffle (no pun intended) about the "Charlie Sheen syndrome". Their website on the whole is a lot better; their footy sounds more exciting, too!

Yep, just had a look at the WAFL website and noticed that they don't even seem to use Sporting Pulse anymore, taking a more professional look:

And here's an example of their Football Budget; which has tipsters, a couple of stories, the list of players for each team has the date of birth and where they came from, a flashback section (where has that gone here?):

The other bonus in WA is we can download the Budget on a Wednesday night. The SANFL's idea of waiting 3 weeks before downloading a Budget is bloody ridiculous.

To be fair, they worked him out and chased him back across the border.

The statistics from the weekend are not even on the SANFL website yet.

Well done SANFL, you have excelled yourselves ... =D>

We now get a 404 - Not Found when trying to get live sccores on your pathetic website.

Hooray for JAS!

Sounds like project jargon at work

Seriously the live scored thread here is more reliable than the SANFL website

How does the official SANFL Budget NOT know/have available the goal kickers in WA reserves game from round 1????
