Round 1 Glenelg v Sturt @ Glenelg

Postby bayman » Sun Mar 27, 2011 9:06 pm

should be a good game but i think with the loss of very good players sturt may need a bit of time to gel & so glenelg at home to win comfortably
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Based on what I have seen/read/heard of both teams over the summer, the Bays to win this one quite comfortably. At least 8 goals I'd say.

Because it's been oh so easy to draw a line through each teams trial form......

If we go on trials then Port, South and West will make up the top three.

Bays will start favourites no doubt but Sturt will have a stronger line up than in any of their trial matches so again, I wouldn't be reading too much into trial form.

Yeah, fair point MST, but I still think the Bays will win this one reasonably easy, just my opinion...

This game isn't the foregone conclusion many think it will be.

Glenelg to win though, in a close one.

Sturt by about 300 points and Glenelg to scream for the mercy rule by quarter time.

*not really. we're actually not much of a chance here.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Don't know a few of those names in the Sturt lineup, but those I do know I rate highly .. Im sure they've heard nearly everyone predicting their demise and I'd expect a much closer encounter on Saturday than many expect.

Most of the names I haven't heard of are listed in the back half .. Are they younger lads coming up through the grades?
