should be a beauty, maybe a young port side can win with a vocal 'home crowd' behind them

I'd like to see Port win this , it will inject a bit more interest for the comp and maybe attract a few more Power supporters back but Norwood should get up .

I havn't seen Norwood at all in trials but they have lost a few players from last year & to me are over-rated as 2nd for the premiership.
Port have gained some much needed pace & seem to be using the ball far better than last year as far as hitting targets hand & foot.
They do lack a key goalkicker up forward but should do enough to beat Norwood in a close one at Footy Pk. [-o<

I agree with that, and I think a few Norwood supporters do too ... Obviously we'd like to think we're a chance, but I would have thought at best we'd be 4th in the line of betting.

Not something they've usually been in short supply of, modern day versions of the likes of Scott Hodges and Darren Smith would be handy these days.

Hodges hasn't played for a while , who has been Ports forward after him ? I can only think of Waterhouse ?

Hargraves!

Should be an interesting game and well worth $2.50.

We'll see just how much Cloke will be missed.

Given all the talent we've lost, Norwood are nearly back to 'square one' of 2010.
Balancing our replacements and trial game form, I'd only place us about 5th or 6th
at best, at the moment.
However, Norwood have yet to play with a full squad. There were around half a dozen
seasoned regulars missing from our trial matches. If and when we get a full compliment
running around, I would be extremely disappointed if we failed to get a top 4 finish in 2011.
:D
The Legs by 5 goals.

Could I go and watch it for $10 though?

Legs by 5 goals and hopefully both teams put on a bit of biff for the crowd. Feel sorry for the spectators who will have to sit through the two hours of crap football the power serve up afterwards :D

I'll be going to this game in the morning then heading over to Glenelg for the twilight game, no interest in hanging around for the AFL.

Is there a game on after Norwood play?

Must have missed that memo.
