Hey Thiele,

Not sure if 5AA are doing the Sunday night show again this year, but certainly hope so as I really enjoyed it the last few years. Maybe PhilH can shed some more light there.

At this stage mate to my knowledge 5RPH 1197am and LifeFM 107.9 will be calling the footy again this year which is fantastic and the 5RPH Wednesday Morning SANFL show (Outside 50) will kick off again the week the season starts as will the Thursday Night League Teams Show.

Not so good if you want to watch footy live and listen. Be warned Digital reception is from 3 to 6 seconds delayed

Add to that the 5 seconds behind some commentators are and you'll almost be hearing a description of a goal kicked in the previous quarter!

Mind you if you're listening to RPH you wouldn't know WTF was going on anyway except that the game involved smashed sausage roll clangers from wild men from Borneo or something!

Oh well, Friday night footy is on a 90 minute delay!

The 3-6 seconds really only makes a difference if you are listening to a digital broadcast live at the game.

Are the radio stations that broadcast games available online? I've recently moved up to townsville and would dearly love to stay attuned to some real and decent footy. The crap they show and rave about up here I'd rather use to wipe my @r$3. Also if they are, could someone please provide the links for future reference, or at least some advice on how to locate them? A million thanks.

Why do people take radios to listen to a game they are watching?
