Has been released the last week in November the last few years but with this proposed Foxtel Cup / Champions League still to be confirmed, I think that may delay the release of the draw for season 2011.

and very few against lower placed sides?

I reckon we will start playing lower ranked sides at the start of 2011.

the sanfl draw will delayed until they finalise this other silly comp they want to play.

I wish they would hurry up. Was going to book flights for a couple of minor round games next year when Jetstar had a $99 sale to Adelaide, although if I just picked a random weekend, it probably would've been a bye weekend when the draw came out

Might still have to wait a little longer yet...

The SANFL wishes to advise its 2011 match program will not be released until a decision has been made about the proposed Champions League competition.

“The SANFL competition is an absolute priority for the League,” Football & Corporate Operations Chief Officer Darren Chandler said.

“We’re looking forward to delivering a match program that provides all nine clubs with opportunities to grow their attendance.”

This year, more than 270,000 supporters attended the SANFL home and away season – a 5.1 per cent increase compared to the 2009 season.

It is anticipated that the 2011 program will be ready for release in late December.

I'm waiting to book flights from the ******* UK and don't want to have spent 5 years saving up just to have a 'bye' while I'm there

I heard from a friend who spoke to the SANFL today, that it won't be out until
AFTER Christmas.

It is frustrating waiting for the release of the draw, always anticpate the release of the new season fixture to mark down and look forward to blockbuster games etc...

This time round is a little more frustrating as well, apart from the fact supporters will want to see where their path to a Premiership will take them in the minor round, there is also the advent of this Champions League and possible state League clash in Victoria, where no doubt, like myself, there will be people looking forward to getting some dates confirmed so they can organise and plan interstate travel and leave for work etc etc...

I highly doubt that the state game will go ahead if the champions league goes ahead.

Which would be a shame as I was looking forward to a big weekend of football in Melbourne that week.
