Why do players in Grand Finals get given hats to wear seconds before they are about get a medal put around their necks (by a young and short child)?

Anyway, well done to the Legs for providing the first entertaining Grand Final in what seems like ages. I'm sure they'll be up there again next year.

9 premiership in 11 years is amazing in any football comp.

Exactly what I was about to say. Was a great game to watch. Sounded like the Redleg fans made plenty of noise, especially in the second qtr.
Well done to Central..... again! By far the best team all this year again and deserved winners again (alot of agains there   ).
No disrespect to Centrals because they should and will continue to win flags as long as they keep playing the game the way they are but FFS can a couple of other clubs please step up to their professionalism.

Callinan is class. How he hasn't won a magarey is beyond me. Congratulations to both centrals and Norwood on a great game. As a neutral supporter is was a brilliant game, quality goals, great atmosphere.

Well done Centrals....again. They can always find a way to fight it out for a full game, but I thought Norwood, as mentioned previously, did run out of legs towards the end but mainly kicked themselves out of a chance of winning in the last 1/4.
What can I say, flares, good old selective WESLO and an attrocious winning supporter.....must be another Centrals Flag.
Anyone who knows a bald bloke flown over from Sydney with his missus in the members area, tell him he acted like a petulant baby and maybe next time save the flight money for the therapy. If you can't shake someone's hand in congratulations, even after you've told them "**** you", then you are just a tool, have a good look at yourself.
To the Father of a past Central player sitting in the members area (now playing in the Gawler League? with his brother), it was great to watch a great game of footy with you and shake your hand at the end, it's what footy is all about.
Again, Well done Doggies. =D>

Finally a close one! :D The first non-Sturt League GF I've been to since 1982, and I'm very glad I attended. Magnificent game to watch, though not the result that I'm guessing most would have preferred. Congrats to the Dogs, but there was really not much between the sides all day, so hats off to Norwood.

To me winning the toss and having the aid of a hefty breeze early was probably pretty important in the end (i.e. worth more in the first qtr than in the last when tired legs kick in), but Norwood's third qtr really let them down too.

BOG for mine was a tie between Callinan (4 goals and all class) & Puopolo, who took on opponents and won contested situations more than anyone else on the ground...wonderful stuff!

Worse parts of the day included; the Maggies reserves premiership (well played though, our boys squandered their forward entries), the so-called "entertainment", a couple a flares (stupidity), and the police arrest of a groggy Centrals supporter, who clearly should never have been granted entry.

Simply Awesome - I sat and watched an incredible game on the box and wished if only my side could emulate the amazing feat of the CDFC. You have to have nothing but admiration and respect for the Northerners.

Bad luck to Norwood for a great effort and congrats to Centrals for yet another premiership. You have to admire their success and the way they go about it. An excellent grand final.

As others have said, well done Central. Simply the best. Also well done to Norwood. They over-achieved according to many (including me) and almost pulled off a premiership to cap an amazing turn around.

Played 1 and a bit qtrs of good footy and nearly pinched it. 3rd qtr woeful and dog class put us to the sword. Nearlys not good enough, i preferred it when everyone hated us but now we are happy just to make a gf. Cmon legs fans winning is everything dont accept losing and get the club back where it should be.

Ps to the dogs fans shouting out norwood bandwagon jumpers just a quick stat. Norwood = highest crowd average centrals= nearly lowest. 35000 crowd today you do the maths

What a Grand Final! What a Grand Final!

Centrals started out of the blocks with the breeze, kicking 4 goals to 1 in the first quarter. Norwood then responsded with 6 unanswered goals in the second quarter to lead by 17 points at half time and have all the momentum.

However, Centrals have come back from worst positions in the past, and I didn't expect them to hand the premiership cup over to Norwood without a fight. And fight they did, kicking the next 5 goals in the third quarter to take a 17 point lead themselves at three quarter time. From here it was Centrals to lose. They couldn't afford a repeat of the second quarter, and to their credit just started to shut the game down, with Callinan kicking the sealer halfway through the last quarter.

To Norwood's credit, they fought back to get back to 6 points, but Centrals knew what to do to shut the game down, and claim that cup.

Still the One (2000), Still the One (2001), Still the One (2003), Still the One (2004), Still the One (2005), Still the One (2007), Still the One (2008), Still the One (2009),

We're still having fun, and we're Still the One (2010) GO YOU DOGGIES Premiership number 9

Finally, a bick brickbat to Foxtel iQ2 - set both my hard drive recorder and the iQ to record the game. Get home, and to my horror, iQ2 switches itself off (as it normally does when a channel hasn't been changed for awhile), meaning the iQ failed and the hard driver recorded black! NOT HAPPY FOXTEL!!!! Biggest insult is their complaints process is so complex it's not even worth complaining directly to them.

Thankfully Dad taped it so I'm borrowing that and can upload that to the hard drive at least.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Great game & great crowd.
Thought Centrals went too defensive too early in the last but, Callinan was outstanding.
Well done again to the Dogs... the rest have to get better if we are to compete.

outstanding contest by both teams, it was one of the best grand finals in many many years & whoever lost was going to be very stiff, there are many 'what ifs' & highlights for both teams, nathan bassetts coaching must be applauded with what he's done with this team, also roy laird if he wasn't with the best of them before today he certainly is now, what a great acheivement & an equally modest & humble (as usual) speech, i also thought (i think it was james) gowans interview was rather good, humble when asked about equalling geoff motleys record & he stated (paraphrasing) ''that we shouldn't compare to motley given that he played in the sanfl when it was the number one competition in the state'', great game, great respectful & humble comments from what i heard on the way home......

well done to port for winning the 2's & for the tigers for winning back to back cups in the u/18s, hopefully that may carry through over the next few seasons into the league team & as we always say
for us there is always next year

well done to roy & the boys
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
