Good to see a young local lad from the SAFC development zone win it!

10 SEP 2010
2010 POWERADE STAR SEARCH AWARD WINNER
Congratulations to Nick Murphy of South Adelaide Football Club, the 2010 Powerade Star Search Award winner.

Nick was nominated in Round 12 after he was named among the Panthers’ best players in its loss to Port Adelaide.

The Strathalbyn 21 year old collected 31 possessions in that match.

Selection panel representative Darren Chandler said Nick had had an outstanding season for South Adelaide.

“He was featured in the best players for his club on 10 occasions this year and became an integral part of the Panthers’ midfield,” he said.

As this year’s winner, Nick wins a $2000 cash prize courtesy of Powerade.

At 21, probably not a 'junior' Sojourner, more the Star Search Award Winner mate...

Junior would more refer to the Maccas Cup MVP (U/18's) which hasn't been announced as yet....

Anyway, congrats to Nic, well done...
