Glenelg Football Club and Jetty Road Main street are aligning to decorate Jetty Road black and gold for the 2010 SANFL Finals series and we need your help.
In a show of support for the Tigers we will be spray painting the footy boots black and gold and hanging them from the trees along Jetty Road.
If you have a pair of old footy boots you are willing to' handball' our way we would love to have them, they can be dropped into the designated wheelie bin located just inside the electronic doors at the entrance to Reception at the Glenelg Football Club.
For further information please contact
Reception on 8294 5333

That's a great idea to try to get the locals and visitors to Jetty Road aware and interested in Glenelg and the SANFL.
Will there be some posters or something to let people know what the black and gold boots represent in case they don't know?

Very good Wedgie.
Back to the discussion though - great work by all involved. Makes me wonder why this concept couldn't be expanded though to get all club "precincts" involved - The Parade, Unley Road, Jetty Road, and an appropriate similar location (help me out!) for the Dogs and the Eagles. A bit like the before and after affairs for stages of the Tour Down Under. Get clubs working with their local councils, traders etc and really make this an annual event of sorts.

Sturt could get all the Unley Road ladies to blue-rinse their hair!

Centrals already do it. Big red, white an blue flags are painted on median strips and roundabouts throughout Elizabeth during the finals and they generally last all year!

We're gonna see a lot of confused people around the Bay wondering why there are so many places to buy drugs.

They might have brought in a 'London' type of entry tax for slobbering mutts just to keep the quality up this September.
