For those who don't know Tim announced his retirement at years end on Sunday.
I know Norwood and Sturt supporters appreciate the quality player Tim is.
Hope he will continue at the Parade in some capacity next year.
A coach in waiting if ever I saw one !

Well done Tim. Just wish you could have taken the news from Rick a bit better and stayed a 1 club player. Oh well you moved on and proved him wrong.

Will never forget the night you and Sheeds roved off some hack west coast country kid and hit up your target with ultimate precision 8)

You might expect that someone with 300 SANFL games in the bank would start to think about retiring. With twins due early next year (to add to two kids already!), who can blame him?

Well done mate, great timing on the announcement and enjoy your last few games!

When it comes to Tim Weatherald, he is one of the finest young men I have ever been associated with in sports. Having watched him grow from a young boy to a promising young cricketer/footballer, then ultimately what he has achieved in his football career has been quite remarkable.

I often joked to him that he really should be playing at Norwood and not "wasting" his time at Sturt, never thinking it would eventually happen, and that I would have the pleasure of watching his 300th game in a Norwood jumper. His ability to survive the incredible highs and lows of 2002, to become the player we have seen, and to remain the quality person he has always been is a credit to himself and his family. There'd be no prouder person of Tim than his father Mick.

Well done Tim. In a few weeks time you will be able to reflect on what has been a wonderful career, then move on to the next chapter of your life. I am confident you will be a success in whichever direction you take.

Cheers, and thanks mate.

Nice work Timmy. Great career.
I played junior against him and he was a determined little bugger way back then.
That trait has shone through in his career on the football field.
Best of luck afterwards.

Absolute champion of a player, a real example of why the SANFL is such a great football competition.

From your original club (Bridgewater HFL) - many congratulations to an awesome bloke, on and off the field, a total professional. There's something special in watching a young guy develop through all the various levels of footy - was there to witness a great junior (U/14) Premiership, along with Ben Nelson, way back then!!

Was inspirational then and nothing's changed.
