well i'm sure it has been done before but i can't see wwt changing the result in a week, so it is the sturt machine to move into the first semi & set up a showdown with either glenelg or norwood for mine....chambo to kick 8

I have to say... I'm confident we'll roll both Torrens and Norwood in successive weeks.

The team is really pumped at the moment, 6 wins in 7 weeks and against a lot of the top sides... they're confidence is high and they've been doing it with little contribution from Chambo due to conditions... if we get a warm, dry day next week... it could be on!

Not confident at all. Will need Grocke back to have any chance. Eagles have looked like they've been running on the spot the last fortnight. Sturt on the other hand have been building real momentum and will deservedly go in heavy favourites.

Will sturt play matty jaensh and brodie martin this week? would think they would be 2 very handy inclusions.

Brodie Martin was definately having post-season operation(s) so I think he wont be playing, not sure with Jaensch?

Of all the possibilities, this is the worst one for the Eagles, even would have rather played Norwood in an Elimination final. Think Sturt are just going to have a little too much speed and class for the Eagles.
Will be hard-fought. Obvious to say, but the Eagles will show far more than today.
Think Sturt will just hold sway and pull away at the end with a late goal or two to win by four goals.

Ea 11.7

Best for the Comp overall is Sturt win this one (IMHO they'll be about 6 goals or more too strong).
Eagles look flat and disinterested today. Disappointing effort.

Previous 3 of 3 times teams playing in final minor round then met in EF (final 5 system) had the same result for final minor round hold firm. I see no reason for this sequence to be broken.

Matty Jaensch will play. The Crows have sent Martin in for an operation on his hip.

Except for the fact that Sturt have a terrible Elimination Finals record.

Congratulations on ST beating the EG next week already !!!
I beg to differ

UNLEY
ST 16-10
EG 24-6

WOODVILLE
EG 13-8
ST 7-18

WOODVILLE
EG 4-3
ST 9-11

2 wins to EG 1 win to ST
2 games on dry tracks 2 wins to EG
1 game an a wet track 1 win to ST

The only positive for ST
EG keep being more productive for goals vrs points

I have not seen the tape on todays game
perhaps my opinion will change

This game is a dead set 50/50 game, being the elimination final

Wouldn't be the first time Sturt fans are getting ahead of themselves! Just a few days ago they were predicting a Sturt v Centrals Qualifying Final next weekend.

Anybody who saw the Torrens win at Woodville earlier this year would be able to confirm that Torrens played rubbish...

... and yes that means we were even worse.

But least we've improved.
