All players on both sides did quite well in shocking conditions. I missed the 1st q and the 2nd was rubbish, but the 2nd half was a cracker considering.

I thought the umpiring was an absolute disgrace. They didn't favour either side but they just picked out some baffling and soft frees for both sides. FFS let the play go in shit conditions you fame seeking wankers.

I was really impressed yet again with port's endeavour. Every player was 100% committed to the cause and having lead for the majority of the day it was very disappointing to lose.

Once again costly mistakes in crucial positions at crucial moments just killed us. I guess that's life with so many young inexperienced players. I'm sure bangers will help them turn it around and providing the current crop stays together, the Magpies will be better for their 2010 experience next year.

Despite the disappointment of losing so many games by bugger all in 2010, I'm really positive about what Port achieved and am looking forward to some progression in 2011.

Umpiring was ordinary at times, thought we had a good run but there were some strange decisions picked out. Woeful weather today, well done to those who did attend, we even stood on the Grandstand side just so we didn't cop the full brunt of the wind and rain.

I thought it was going to be a soccer scoreline for a while there as it was 1-1 at half time, and when Port were in front halfway through the last I thought we would struggle to get back into it. It was Younie's last game so it was great to see him kick the goal that put us in front, also how good was Motlop's goal at the end? Unbelievable.

Very fitting that Younie put North in front, a fantastic servant to the NAFC, well done Unit, you are a true champ.

I didn't even notice butcher. Shocking conditions for a player his size and shape.
Derek wanganeen was good and mark frogger dolling was excellent for port as usual. He'll be our b&f IMO.

Crowd according to AdelaideNow 2272. Pretty good I would have thought given the conditions and nothing on it for the teams.

As always there was a good contingent of North supporters at Alberton. I would have thought that there were nearly as many North supporters there as attended Prospect three weeks ago when there was the pitiful crowd against South. I guess the North contingent went to give Heath Younie the send off he deserved.

Surely that makes Healy safe for the rest of the season four wins out of five to finish the season off or was it six?

most of those left at half time anyway because of the conditions and the threat of being hit by the sponsors signs flying across the oval. I was expecting less when i saw the weather in the morning.

Hope you didn't put more than 3 hours of intensely, creative thought into that post?

Port lead for most of the day and looked the better side. North put their score on the board in bursts, including the burst that mattered near the end of the game.

Typical with kids, they thought they had the game won and took their foot off the pedal at a crucial time, allowing a more experienced side to seize the moment.

Not happy with losing but very happy with the improvement in talent, discipline and endeavour over the season.

Agree there beenreal. HAppens with any young side in those games. As long as we can keep the team together we will be fine in 2 years.

The only thing I could disagree with is according to the statistics in the budget Port had the more experienced side in terms of games played and average age of the players.

Well, well that burst Port's last excuse for why they are so poor at present! LOL

Seems many at Port have trouble with understanding fact! They have tried the bluff and bullshit with the merger stuff and that got well and truly sorted and the same with the experience and age excuse to explain on field performance! Hmm what next although they are still flogging the merger "dead horse" through Timmy and George - waste of time but good on them I suppose!
