Round 22-Sturt v Central @ House Brothers 2:10pm Sun 29 Aug

The Bulldogs will be looking at picking up their form after a loss and this may spell bad news for the Blues. If Sturt play their best footy they can beat anyone on their home ground, however i think Centrals will bounce back and win by around 4 goals.

sturt have had centrals measure so far this year but like every team that played on friday i expect sturt to get leg weary over the last quarter or so & central (who very rarely lose two in a row) will be running all over them in the final stanza

It will be a tough ask for Sturt to beat the doggies 3 times in one minor round especially after a loss to WWT. Sturt may get tired towards the end of the game after having 2 heavy workouts in 2 weeks, but I thought that'd be an issue against a fresh Norwood.

And Sturt almost never win two in a row this year. Three in a row must be out of the question.
Go You Blues! 8)

I think the result means more if Sturt wins. Should Central win, I think everyone will just nod and think "about time", but if Sturt win, I think everyone will be thinking, "geez they will make it, they could be troublesome". No one can tell me that West is more of a threat in the finals than Sturt.

I think most people already think that, but having seen them the other night, IMHO there's no doubting it .. Was ultra impressed with your resolve on Friday night, and there's no question whatsoever in my mind that when you come to play you are an even money chance (at worst) against anyone.

Sturt can't and won't win the flag this year ... period.

Regardless of how many times they beat Central this year (once more please), they can't string 4 wins together against anyone let alone the top 4 teams in the competition.

That said, as a supporter you can only hope, which is what I'd be doing in the same position.

Good luck.

I just want the 4 best sides we can find in there trying to oust the Doggies...

woulda coulda shoulda but didnt....losing winnable games during the year and we wouldnt be having conversations such as 'if we make the finals, we'll be a threat'

disappointing season....but lets go blues, 2 wins and we are in.

Much like Woodville Oval, where Central hasn't won in 5 years (their last win was 2005 to the day on Saturday) Unley Oval seems to be a bit of a bogey greound for them.

Central has not won at Unley for over 4 years with their last victory against the Double Blues on their home deck coming back on July 10, 2006 which was Round 10.

It should be a great game as we know Central don't lose 2 in a row all that often and the Double Blues will be keen to continue their good form. Could go either way I think and will be a close one, I think Sturt may just get up again.

I'm going to miss this one as I will be in Clare for my 1 year Wedding Anniversary...

Who gets bloody married in the footy season !!!
