G'day Folks

Following the 2008 set we now have available the second (2010) series of limited edition Sturt Player Collector Cards.

The have only been 250 individually numbered sets produced. I think they look great! The cost is $40 per set (+ $5 if you require postage). The cards are available from the club office or can be collected from my office on North Terrace. I can also post them to you if required. You can contact me directly via peter.hall@unisa.edu.au or on 0431092834.

I am trying to arrange for a very limited number of sets to be signed by each of the palyers. If and when this happens I'll let you know.

All profits from the sale of the cards go directly to the club.

Come on don't be shy! Grab a set before they are all gone.

PS The cards look better 'in the flesh' than they do in the photos.

They look pretty good.
I'd like to see Centrals copy the idea (with Centrals players of course).

I think the league should bring out a set every couple years.

They were about when I was a kid Phil. You used to collect a piece of paper from a Big Ben pie and exchange that for about 5 cards.Each team had about 5 player cards. You could stick on a big poster, with the team logo on it and an action shot. From memory Centrals was Richard Cousins, John Platten, Phil Graham, Renee van Dommele and maybe Girdham (not sure). I've still got them, though not on my bedroom wall anymore, (the barbies are long gone).

A very limited number of signed sets are now available (26 players + coach) @ $70 per set. They look great as they are or would be fantastic framed.

I say good on you Sturt, very innovative thinking, a great idea to have player cards especially a signed set for the avid collector.
