Is the top 5 set?

Postby leggies » Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:56 pm

Norwood going to keep top 3 with glenelg and central after eagles lost today? Sturt going to stay in or are their final 3 games much harder than westies?

I think dogs will have the first week of the finals off with norwood playing glenelg and eagles playing sturt.

going based on "assumed wins against lower positioned teams" - we're in trouble.

The way we played today and over the last 6-8 weeks, we'll be lucky to win another game.

You didn't play "that" badly. You can't take the way you played in those conditions as a sign of your form in my opinion. You outscored us 12 to 10, and generally outplayed us (and had more of the ball) for most of the game IMO. You'd beat Port and South in a canter given today's "form".

We CAN NOT kick goals.

Since Rd 9 we have only kicked more than 10 goals in a game 4 times.

That aint gonna win you too many games of football thats for sure.

We kicked 4 against the second bottom side in pretty good conditions (as opposed to today).... read into it what you will.

The only thing is our form is we beat sides above us, but not below us... so maybe we have the easier run? :-)

If Sturt beat Norwood, I think they'll make it.

West beating Port isn't a given IMO... it's very 50-50 I reckon.

But I'm happy to be written off... God knows I wrote them off ages ago!

Displace perhaps.

I think Sturt in the finals will be more dangerous than West.
Beating then Friday night will go a long way towards keeping them out.
We owe them one too !
