I thought South should have blown North away late in the 2nd Q but didnt. I still thought the lead was enough as I didnt know how North were going to kick goals. Norths last half was outstanding.

Poor crowd. Maybe 1000 if lucky.

I thought his effort for a first up game was below the warrant of being selected, he has plenty of potential, just needs someone to be able to bring it out in him.

Also think he needs to be given a longer run, say for the whole game, instead of on and off like a YO-YO, maybe this is why some of the blokes with potential cant get their game together, they spend to much of it on the bench, to unsettling for them.

Watching North in the first half reminded me of many previous South sides (2007/08 in particular) at this late stage of the year. Uninterested. Undisciplined. No passion. Failing to grasp the basic idea of teamwork. Waiting for Round 23 to roll by..

Any decent team would have had a handy 6 or 7 goal buffer at half time, given the dominance in the general field play. South had a 3 goal advantage.

The second half..well..what a contrast :? The ball spent most of the third quarter in the North fwd 50. South hung around for the first 10 minutes of the final quarter, a goal or two in it, but then the white flag was hoisted. The 20 minutes that followed was a disgrace, Alleway and co feasting on a error ridden South during 'junk time'.

Bitterly disappointing. Despite the 13 straight losses coming into the match, I think all South supporters had high expectations today. To see a 10 goal turn around in the second half to a side that resembled a rabble will test any supporter's patience.

Whistle happy umpires continue to rear their ugly heads.

Losing Murphy and Warren before the bounce didn't help. Anybody know the story behind this? I think Dugga's was a groin? Murphy would have been handy around the stoppages.

Well done North for giving the 700 or 800 Rooster fans there today something to enjoy.

1,122 there - the second time this season the record for worst crowd in recorded history at Prospect has been broken. The first time was in the corresponding game in Rd 11.

It should have been J Allan 3 C Alleway 2 and L Ivens 1. Come to think of it just about every North win this year would have those votes.

I concur with G and Robranisgod - Whyman would be one of the most underserving BOG recipients in many a year. Partland gives him 3 votes yet his counterpart at the 'Tiser doing the Monday morning centreman slags Whyman for his undisciplined approach to the game and the fact he gave away 6 frees - most with stupid attacks on the man! Who was actually at the game or did Partland hand on that "tit bit"?

It still amazes how some journos seem to have a completely different list and order of best players which makes you wonder if they do actually watch the game?

That explains it all. The journalist didn't watch the game, he just spoke to the coach!!!

Thats a real disappointment, given the bumper crowds seen at Prospect circa 2007.

So Healy is definately gone after two of his three year deal ? I always thought Fuller would have been a good fit at Prospect , but I guess South have jumped in on that possibility . Not long to wait now though before North bring home B. Hart as their savior ! ;)

No CK, quit is the wrong term. It should say "spat the dummy".

Mail is that Handby will be at Prospect next year - no guarentees of a league berth unless he loses some pounds!

Of course that is dependent on who the new North coach is?
