Interesting. It looks like the SANFL thinks the Bays have sewn up the double chance already so they will get an extra one day of rest before finals?

You'd think the ABC will want to broadcast this game - but nonetheless, there should be a huge crowd at the Bay with a chance that plenty of neutrals will get along as well.

I think the ABC would be more likely to broadcast the Port match, what with it being their last ever game and all.... ;)

Sorry to disappoint you Squawk and Pseudo, but I think (unless there's a late change of policy) the ABC is committed to a Sunday game in Rd 23.

This could well be a super Sunday, with both games potentially deciding 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.

Or the Eagles.

Easier to just say that glenelg will have an extra day's break than their opponent in the Qual final.
Advantage? maybe not but i would rather Norwood play on Saturday.

Port Adelaide Magpies have won 36 SANFL premierships, Port Adelaide Power have won 34 SANFL premierships and 1 AFL premiership. Both clubs won those 34 SANFL premierships up to the end of 1996.

This is ridiculous programming. Either have all games on the Saturday or given that Port and North won't be in finals, have them on the Saturday and the rest Sunday. This is knowingly giving an advantage to Glenelg (or Central if they finish 2nd).

Rumour is that Centrals requesed a sat night fixture. Interesting that it is not, if the ABC are going to televise the Sunday game as alluded to above. Seems obvious that they would prefer to telecast the game to potentially determine the minor premier. FWIW I can't see us catching Centrals for it though.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
