Round 20 - WWT V Glenelg @ Woodville 2.10pm Sat 14th Aug

Postby GWW » Sun Aug 08, 2010 11:25 pm

Both teams had good wins in round 19 and will be looking at carrying that form over into this clash.

The Eagles keep going about their business with a minimum of fuss, however they come up this week against an inform Bays side.

For the Eagles to win I think Welsh needs to kick a big bag of goals.

I'll tip Glenelg by 4 goals.

Glenelg has won at Woodville only once since 1999. The Eagles will therefore start as rampant favourites. ;)

To be fair though, from 2000-06, Glenelg never played finals and were wooden spooners 3 times, whereas the Eagles never missed the finals, played 5 Grand finals for 1 premiership.

Should be a good game, I lean towards Glenelg.

Eagles are underdogs for this game.
No more triple headers for fans of the Eagles until finals when there will be 3 games on the same day and ground, but not all involving the Eagles.

Glenelg favourites !!!
Eagles underdogs .Hopefully Grocke gets off at the tribunal this week.If he does thats a bonus for the club.
Eagles need to keep believing in themselves and play that running style they played in the fourth term against Port.
A big plus will be if a certain umpire from last week is not umpiring us again this week .No names from me .
someone posted Welsh needs a to kick a bag of goals he 's not that type of forward .
Cheers

if the wounded crow players play for wwt the bays running away by 8 goals, if wwt have 21 FIT players then the bays to claw over the line for benjamin mules by about 2 goals

Grocke Found not guilty .last game at the bay he was suspended so didnt play.Bays fans expect a different Eagles forward line .
Perhaps also a different attitude out on the ground seeing "GODS" wants the guys not to mouth off to the umpires. ;)

The only wounded crow I'm interested in is Hentschel Bayman ;) If he plays look out Bays .He frees up Macca to play a different role.

Last year Glenelg were the side with the most intensity and were the benchmark during the minor round. I missed the game earlier in the season, but would imagine things are no different this year with the record they've got. It is not just a good test to see where the Eagles are at, it is a must win game if the Eagles harbor any ambitions of a top 3 spot.

With the best injury run we've had in a long time and a freshen up over the last month, I think the Eagles will upset the Bays this Saturday and open up the race for a top 3 spot.

Adam Grocke is free to play against the bays as he was found not guilty on his report of charging from the previous game against Port.

Craig will be watching Hentschell's audition on Kirkby - Kirkby, the best SANFL forward at present (Grocke next best). If Hentschell can do the job, the Eagles are a big chance.
Expect Day and Fitzgerald (and possibly Almond) to be dropped. Banner, Staple and possibly Burton to come in.

i'd be happy to see both burton & hentschell play as their fitness will be a big querey imho & it may also unsettle their side a bit, as i said earlier in the week if these 'injured/recovering' crows players play it will enhance glenelgs chances
