Another Centrals v Norwood classic.

Each quarter was a hard fought battle with goals at a premium. There was fantastic defensive pressure from both sides, but in the end Centrals did what need to get the points, but not without Norwood putting in one last fight.

Now the umpiring - I didn't think I could see a worse umpiring display after last nights Crows v Geelong game, but Tony Dey made sure he would be responsible for one of the most disgraceful, one sided umpiring performances I've ever seen. He is a dead set cheat and not only should the club formally request he never umpire a Centrals game again, but the SANFL should give him an extended holiday from the game based on his conduct umpiring our games.

Trying to be as unbiased as possible (given I barrack for the Legs), watching on the box I reckon we certainly copped some poor decisions and/or non calls too, that said I can understand why Dogs supporters wouldn't be impressed, I thought you copped a pretty bad run.

It was pretty appalling to watch on the box, whichever way the decisions were going they seemed rarely correct, and rarely the first that should have been given

Well done Dogs. When I saw the team and who was out, I thought we were going to get beaten. Really pleased with the effort today.

As for the umpiring, luckily I've had the drive home to cool down. How they could pull out those two deliberate frees at the end when there were plenty of others in the game is beyond me. The umpires had no idea all day.

You would get along very well with my Dad, he has the same thoughts on Tony Dey and after today so do I!

I think everyone who follows the SANFL has the same thoughts regarding Tony Dey and their team. Suffice to say he must have photos of Shane Harris in compromising positions.

Cue Redandblack....

Its a pity that after such a great game of footy we are concentrating on the unpires and not the game! I am not trying to defend them - I was frustrated too

But I thought that Norwood were good today and will be a force in September. Their midfield was good but a little indirect. When they did move the ball quickly they looked much better.

Was happy the dogs got the 2 points. We must now be assured of a top 3 spot and can afford to up the training so we peak in September. It was good to see havelberg back and he will only get better.

If we can get a fit Schell and Havelberg in the same team come finals time we will be hard to beat.

Watching Havelberg kick 2 in quick succession in the 2nd quarter nearly had me choking on my lunch .. Yes, I still sleep with the light on since his infamous day out.

I thought we had 2 standout players in Lower and Puopolo, and then pretty much others drifted in and out .. One thing that can be hard to pickup sometimes on TV is the pressure out there at ground level, and I reckon it must have been pretty strong from the Dogs because we made quite a few mistakes

This game was below standard for these 2 teams
They both failed to replicate that brilliant game at the Parade
Norwoods forward play inside about 35 meters today was woeful at times

Both sides would need to improve on that effort to beat Sturt in the finals [if Sturt make it ]

As for the 2 deliberates , yes they both the correct decisions
But I understand how Centrals barrackers would be upset
Fancy paying 2 in a row when the ratio is norMALly closer to 1 in every 50 paid

You sure you not confusing him with Curtis DeBoy, as he's a shocker too.

On the game, I thought it was a tight, error ridden affair. Norwood look good when they get their run going but Centrals seemed to find goalS when it mattered. I thought Centrals disposal was pretty dodgy under pressure...especially their handballs to teammates feet.

I thought Boyds match was alright. What does everyone think of Jarrod Schiller???

Had to leave the match at the 22nd minute mark of the last qtr and bolt to Big W to pick up my new LCD TV. 8)

Great to see plenty of Norwood supporters turn up and with their flags 8) (which I didn't see get used!)

BTW, WHERE HAS ALL THE CENTRAL SUPPORTERS GONE???

You definitely would have seen the worst case of umpiring ever if you'd gone to the Woodville oval today. Maybe the clubs should be allocated an umpire. We'll trade you Dey for the two disgraceful umpires we had at our game

Is it just me or is the worst part of going to matches these days is when, after you've paid to get in and bought the Budget, you open up to your teams match and then look at who is umpiring the match...it seems whenever I see names such as Dey, Deboy or Rowston my heart just sinks and I feel like being sick...

get used to it, Norwood have had a dream run with the Umps for a good part of the year. Gowans have had a dream run condidering the mouthing they dish out to the umps.
Look at the stats, it's all there in black and white

Ahh Sturt supporters complaining about umpires .. You know you have issues when you have to complain on topics that dont involve your own team lmao
