Maybe they could have had the SANFL split round this round instead of next round, and played 1 on Sat and one on Sunday this week? Next week is the Showdown on the Sunday (could have had the remaining two SANFL games on the Sat arvo).

Agreed with the idea of the split round beginning this week. Perhaps in week 2 a Fri night game.

Smartest thing to do would be to have all the footy on Saturday afternoon this round.

Interestingly about the split round - the three teams that are affected the most are the three fighting it out for fourth-sixth. Eagles have three weeks off, while Sturt and Westies both play one game in four weeks.
