Round 17 - Port v Glenelg @ Alberton 2.10pm Sat 17th July

Postby GWW » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:59 pm

The Magpies would have been disappointed with their first half performance against North in Round 16 and will be looking at an improved showing this week against the Bays. After the week off though i think Glenelg will be revitalised and determined to find some form after an indifferent last month of footy.

Glenelg to win by 19 points.

Port now know they can't make the finals, needed to beat North. Glenelg easily I think.

glenelg should win but i'm sure port will have a crack as they have all year & make us earn the win....if we don't come prepared & fully focussed for the game it will be at our own peril, having said that we have too much to play for to be complacent & should win by about 4 goals, will be looking forward to getting some pilko pasties at half time ;)

If he does play and it is a big IF, what odds the Budget has him on 0 games rather than the 30 odd games he played from 1997-99.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Three things might happen on Saturday. Andrew McLeod might play for Port Adelaide. Chad Cornes might play for the Bays.

Bays fans getting behind The Chad, Port fans cheering on the Bunj. What will everyone make of that? ( If it happens )

Will be an interesting day if it all unfolds.

Looking forward to the contest as at least I know ( bar last week ) the Magpies will put up a fight and against the Bays at Alberton what better way to snap a losing streak. Bays will be too strong but I expect a good showing this week.

Word is that Andrew Mcleod is a chance for the Magpies as well.

Personally I can't see Port Power releasing Cornes, Meyer and Carr all to Glenelg to help us beat the Port Magpies. I reckon Josh Carr will be flying up to Darwin with the Power this weekend.

I'm just glad I don't sit on the GFC selection panel this week trying to pick who misses out. ;)

I think you are on the money NM, McLeod to come straight back into the Crows is my guess.
