well done sturt, got to hand it to them, they seem to have the game plan to knock those doggies off regularly, wish the bays had their secret!

The problem is teams seem to have issues backing up after beating the Dogs.
Time will tell!!

You're welcome too.

Now if you can all go and beat Westies for us, that would be nice.

North will be favourites against the Blues next week for that very reason.

No coincidence that both teams play on small grounds? Centrals don't play Norwood or Unley well.

Looking forward to next week.

Good to see Evil in the crowd. Looking fitter than when he played. Hopefully see him in some capacity before the end of the season.

Wow, looking at Round 23, what a perfect set of matchups:

Central District v Glenelg (Elizabeth)
Most likely be the battle for top spot. Hard hitout pre finals, deserves an 8000+ crowd.

Norwood v West Adelaide (Norwood)
Eagles v Sturt (Woodville)
All four teams playing to finish anywhere from 3rd to 7th.

Port Magpies v North Adelaide (Alberton)
Maybe one of these teams will have a mathematical chance to make the finals. I'd consider going just to see devilsadvocate get angry about being robbed again by that cheating umpire they had today (I hope he gets the job for this rematch).

I'm hoping we finish 2nd, to really get the psychological advantage over Glenelg.

Great game, thought it was umpired reasonably well, skills were lacking, lots of turnovers and bad disposal by foot. The amount of time Centrals kicked along the ground, as in worm burners, not sure what was going on. Thought it was a good move with Hinge in defence, he had a good game. Sturt still are lacking with forward crumbers and it's been our problem for many years.
Attendance was disappointing but well behaved apart from a few wankers after the game infront of the McKay stand on both sides.
End result- Sturt live another week and Doggies roll on.

How much does it cost to put up that temporary fence ? Would the punters who actually paid at the gate covered the cost ?

Not sure what the break even costs are, but it costs us about $2000-$3000 more per game than any other club to host a home game.
Makes you wonder why port magpies are in the shit they are!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome that 95% of the scoring today was at the end where no one can get near. Couldn't tell what happened for most of the game as i wasn't carrying a telescope. Steak sandwich was a lot better than what ive had in the past there.

Would be an interesting exercise to see how many turn up without a fence.......and how much they would spend on food/drinks etc...

You have to be joking if you think either will make the 5. As it is North are 3 games ahead of Port at present and have no chance themselves!

You idiot! Unley is one of the small grounds in the SANFL and you're complaining that you need a telescope to see the other end of the ground, what happens when the ball is down theother end to you at Flea Park? get a life.
