Could there be a more unlucky team at the minute?
Losses of 11, 23, 3, 35, 58, 13, 9, 14, 12 and 6 pts this season
Seven losses by 14 points or less.
I haven't seen many of their league matches this year so is it a case of
A) Good enough but just don't know how to win?
or
B) 10/13 last qtrs won (11/39 in Q1/Q2/Q3), finishing off well to put respect on the scoreboard?

10 losses by 184 points is some big losses.

Probably more an indication that the young players have developed this year but the side is still not good enough.
They are giving a consistant effort and have really improved there fitness.
All part of the progression to building a good side for the future. By the end of 2011 a lot of these kids will have 50 to 100 games under their belt so If they keep improving like they are finals in 2012 is very realistic. This is of course reliant on rhe magpies still being around.

Fair call Whatever, if the Magpies can keep the doors open (which Im sure they will) I reckon they have a fair bit to look forward to.

Very impressive batch of young talented players
The impressive part of PA in 2010 is thier willingness to finish off games in the last qtrs
They rarely give in
This is better than teams that play well and fade away late in the games
If this batch of players stay intact for the next 2 years, and with some selective recruiting they can be a Premiership chance
This outlook is better than the doom and gloom a few months ago
Only 3 wins, but the signs are good
And they are a good team to watch

I would be interested in how the Port efforts this year compare with South in 1963 and North in 1984, both sides finished 8th but showed huge promise and went on to be Grand finalists and Premiers in South's case the next year. I know that South in 1963 lost some close games against good opposition and as is often mentioned North in 1984 only won 6 games out of 22 but ended up with a percentage of over 50. They generally won big or lost small.

We have only won 2 first quarters all year as well.
It really has nothing to do with being unlucky just not good enough early in the games to have to come back into it.
