League The only change in ladder positions this week saw Glenelg and Norwood switch places, following the Bays' come-from-behind win over South.

Reserves Finally a victory for South Adelaide's reserves - the last remaining team in any grade to register premiership points. It came at the expensive of the team which only two years ago beat them in the seconds Grand Final. Now they sit seventh and last.

Under 18s A handful of weeks ago, it appeared as though this competition was a one-horse race with the Port Magpies unbeaten after 11 games, but two consecutive losses has seen Glenelg and the team which beat them impressively today West Adelaide each climb to within one premiership point of the ladder leaders.
* Scores from a Rd 8 match have been adjusted by the SANFL. Initially the scores were North 12.10 (82) to Norwood 15.16 (106), but both teams have each had their scores increased by a behind to 12.11 (83) to 15.17 (107).

West came 2nd in 2003 - the only time West have ever been in the top three of the Stanley. Wests' only 4th placings in the trophy were in 2001 and 2002. Prior to that, Wests' best finish was 5th in 1969, 1983, 1991 and 1996.

I first said it after last week's Norwood v West game and stand by it - the final five is set, IMHO. The only thing that may change is the order.

So it should be.
This should be about rewarding a club's depth and overall talent. Each grade should be equal IMO.

There is already a prize for the best league team.
