What has happened to them this year? I recall something about the manufacturers of Sherrin balls changed?
Today was about the sixth time this year I've seen a ball being changed over during a match because it was flat.

I was thinking about them too; (I haven't kept stats on which ball was flat at the time)

. I could only think of the manufacture change of the Sherrin, but maybe Burleys are different this year?

The only time I touch a football these days is when the players are kicking for goals before an SANFL match and from my observation the footys these days are slightly smaller and pointier when compared to yesteryears. I remember I used to have a Kangaroo Brand Sherrin from the 80s and the ends of that was more rounded than todays.

Most clubs use the Burley ball now, something to do with a sponsorship deal I think.
The rubber piece that holds the air in the ball on the valve works its way off during play causing them to go flat, South had 3 of them 'die' in 4 weeks this year, not a good product, the Burley Balls this season.

They're normally good balls. They must be making them in China now and not India.
