sunday night football ???

with the success of the sunday night anzac game earlier in the year, could there be a slot for a sunday night game over the queens birthday round, easter sunday night & when the adelaide cup returns to may on that weekend as well ??


i'd say yes presuming you put on a decent game

It was a great idea for the Port v Norwood game on the sunday night and with no AFL game people can't just sit home and watch a footy match so it would increase crowds and interest in the league.

There's an Adelaide Cup ... I haven't heard that one.

but then again I'm not one of the only 5,000 or so that are interested in it!

when it was in may didnt it always rain and that was the reason why it got moved to March?

That's correct, then I think the first couple of times it was held in March the weather was at the other extreme with temperatures of mid-to-high 30's.

As far as I'm aware though the move to March has been a success overall, and according to the SA Government website it is still planned for March for 2011 and 2012.
