Not sure if this is the best place to put it but it has been reported on the Adelaide Now website and bloodntars.com that westies junior Corey Siemers has been killed in an apparent hit and run incident.

Unable to post a link as I'm using my phone but I'm someone else will be able.

Bad news indeed - didn't Westies suffer a similar junior tragedy just a couple of years ago?

RIP Corey...

Condolences to the family and the West Adelaide Football Club...

It is so sad that he was an innocent victim just driving on our roads, these bloody hoons need to take a good hard look at themselves...

Footy Ops Manager Scott Turner was on the news tonight saying young Corey was so likeable, a very talented footballer and always had a big smile on his face...

So sad :(

I'd think there would be a moments silence before the league and the reserves games as well.

I had the pleasure of watching this Corey play over the last two years and although he wasn't a super star that was guaranteed of being drafted but the kid could really play and I wouldn't have been surprised if he would have got a shot at AFL football.

I had the pleasure of meeting his Grand parents at a game earlier this year. Of Corey they could not be prouder, they enjoyed his football but speaking to them they were even prouder of the man that he was becoming.

It is crazy I have never met Corey but my reaction to the news was pure anger. As a parent I have no idea how I would handle this happening to my son. Corey's poor family now have to deal with something that they do not deserve to have to deal with.

I know what I have wriiten cant make anything better for his family and friends, my sincerest condolences to them all.

RIP Corey.

That takes it to three talented young westies players taken in such tragic circumstances in recent years.
