Port Adelaide also jumped off the bottom of the ladder for the first time since round four over the now bottom South Adelaide, while Sturt broke Norwood's six-game losing streak to stay in touch with the five, and Glenelg are back into second place for the first time since round five on the back of a nine-goal final term against North.

The competition is so tight that the Bloods jumped from 7th to 2nd all within the space of a kick. They've shifted back to 3rd following Port's grilling of the still winless South, while Sturt momentarily slipped out of 1st by a matter of minutes after Port's win until the final siren sounded on their 49-point victory over Norwood. North Adelaide's nine-goal third quarter was the catalyst in their high-scoring win over Glenelg, moving them to their highest position on the ladder for the year - third.
