Both clubs will be desperate to win this game as the loser may become favourite for the wooden spoon.
I think its likely to be a close game, and whilst Port haven't won a lot of games recently, they have shown some good form of late. I think they can win this game by about 15 points.

If this site's home page is correct and South are playing West on the Saturday before fronting up against Port on the Sunday, I expect them to tire a bit in the second half against Port.

Already rolling out the excuses...
Really expect Port to take out the frustration of some near misses on a struggling Panther outfit this weekend. Port by 44 points.

Oh man, don't tell me he's a travelling emergency again for Adelaide!!
Could just be the Advertiser (I assume that's your source...) covering all bases as I see Meyer is out too.

McKernan a handy in for SA.
Might help boost the average age of South's above sperm....
Surely the Panthers have the youngest list?
For the SANFL and more importantly South Adelaides sake I hope they can do a North, Sturt, West Adelaide (in about that cronological order) and recover from a horror patch and look to threaten any team in the next three years.
Alot will hinge on whether they can get the confidence of Great Southern clubs (which overall the do not have) and make it happen for themselves in the new era of interstate recruit restrictions.

I think Souths average age is 21 and there are only 2 players over the age of 25
bad luck to Daniel Talia on doing his knee, after a slow start he was finally finding his feet and playing good footy and must have been close to AFL selection
good luck to young Carter and Richman
this will be a close game
Bernie Vince running around in the seconds for South you don't see every week!

Huge game I feel for South. Desperately need the two points, after a month of patchy yet committed performances. Need some reward for effort. Having said that, Port are in the same boat.
Bad luck for Talia. Had been coming along well the past few weeks. Always good to see a few new names listed though. Ronnie wont be afraid of mixing the team up.

I guess this counts as his games suspension?

Bad luck for young "Genna" Talia, was just staring to find his feet.
Leaves us looking a little short in the height department unfortunately.

Wow, an opposition side complaining about a lack of height. Will wonders never cease?

So is Myke Cook playing? Did he get an early flight from Tas to play today?
