Round 12 - West v Central District @ Richmond 2.10pm 12/6/10

Postby GWW » Sun Jun 06, 2010 9:13 pm

After a loss in round 11, the Bulldogs will be looking at getting back on the winners list this week against the big improvers West Adelaide.

An upset is a possibility, but i would expect Central District to win by about 4 goals.

The Dogs likely to lose Brad Symes to the Crows but could welcolme back some quality players such as Daniel Schell, Daniel Havelberg and Ash Duncan.

This will be a great game, Westies fresh after the bye, no doubt the Dogs will be sore after a tough slog against Norwood yesterday. The Bloods of course won this corresponding game last year, I reckon this one could go either way.

Henderson and Symes would be good chances of going up to the crows this week i would think.

Is Westhoff any chance of going back to the power?

Worst time to get Centrals i feel.

Not very often you get them coming off a loss, but we do and have to deal with it! Centrals will be ready to pounce on us.

I feel we match up reasonably well against them, and with Centrals likely promotions to the AFL, and with Chris Schmidt coming back to play for Westies, along with Adam Hartlett (altho likely to start in the 2's) will be keys in deciding this match. 2 goal game either way i would think!

If by either way you mean Central or Central, and by 2 goals you mean 12 goals then you could be spot on.

Last weekend was not a good result for our playing group, we unfortuanatly loss to the Norwood football club. The result it self was not a major issue but the scences after the game were disturbing as our players were left at the mercy of booing Norwood supporters. The playing group was deeply upset and had their feelings hurt. They are now questioning their passion for the game.

As a sign of respect it would be greatly appreciated if all Westies supporters would please leave our players alone and maybe even appreciate there talents and decade of dominance. Instead of booing our managment has come up with the idea that maybe you could clap all our goals and when we leave and enter the playing arena a few UDOGS wouldn't go astray.

Another inititive by the CDFC is there will be an apology session after the game to both Chris and Jame Gowans. This will give all Westies supporters the chance to apologise for their part in upsetting the boys last year at Richmond causing them to lose focus on the game at hand. The session will last for 1 hour as we know the majority of West fans will be lining up to say "Sorry"

Thanks for your time and we look forward to seeing you Saturday. How does it go CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENTRALS!

Kind Regards

Central Management

In late breaking news, the management of Centrals would like to apologise for making all SANFL fans having to cross Grand Junction Rd to get to Lisbeth, and have to risk having their respective car `s stolen. Waca waca!!!!!!!!!

Bit rich calling Ash Duncan a quality player at this stage BP. He may become one but he certainly can't be mentioned in the same breath as Havelberg and Schell.

Wow, that's being very provocative Wyc. You're excused if you were unaware Big Phil, has "special man love" for Ash Duncan. I believe he even tried to draft him in his AFL Dream Team. ;)

It is well know that I am a big Ash Duncan fan, that is true...

If you knew the lad personally and have seen him play as much as I have, you would understand why I've categorised him as a quality player... ;)

Yep i saw CoverKing kick a bag of goals around 7 or 8 in an u/18 GF on him in a side that lost by 8 goals. I have also seen him play a few times in the magoos for centrals and he looks the goods. Just not sure your love of him has you being objective here ;) .
