Seems to be a few players throwing in the towel in the SANFL at this time of the year. Could one reason be the June 30 transfer deadline and the big dollars that a player can get this year from clubs wanting to top up as we head towards the business end of the season. On another forum it mentioned a bloke from Central Districts going to Southern Flinders and I heard there might be a ruckman from the Bays moving on. Know any others??? What are your thoughts??? Also pm me if you know of any potential targets

Is the player in question that Cella Dwella's talking about Brett Woodards?

Players go to league clubs to try their hand. In 4 months it can be pretty clear to some they won't make it so they leave knowing they gave it a crack. I'd be worried if the players leaving were a chance of playing league, but I haven't seen any of that level leaving during the year.
