Round 10 - Sturt v West @ Mannum Sun 30th May 2.10pm

The SANFL returns to regional South Australia this Sunday when Sturt takes on West at Mannum.

Both clubs will be desperate for a return to the winner's list.

Very difficult game to predict, but i'll tip the Double Blues in a close game by 9 points.

Looking forward to the drive up there. Could be our grand final to see if we play finals or not.

If the good Sturt team (the one that defeated Glenelg and Central) turn up then Sturt will win. If the other half of the schizophrenic club turns up, Westies will have a victory. Looking forward to a great day of footy in the country.

I'm confident Mr.Hyde has actually killed Dr.Jekyll... so I reckon Westies will win this one by about 3-4 goals.

I hazard to say this is a critical game for Sturt in more ways than one. Both teams could be competing for a finals spot against one another (notwithstanding 4 other teams in Norwood, Glenelg, North and South could be in the same fight! ;) ). Looking at the draw for the last 5 rounds for both clubs, it looks like this:

Sturt - bye, West (away), Norwood (away), Central (home) and Eagles (away).
West - Glenelg (away), Sturt (home), Port (home), Panthers (away) and Norwood (away).

Sturt would seem to have a much tougher road to the major round, so securing a win against West in this fixture could be doubly important for them in terms of the big picture.

For West, this is a must win game too after the loss last week to North. Next week they have the bye (as does Sturt and Central), before a huge challenge playing Central (home), Central (home) and Norwood (away), so I think Andy Collins will have them fired up to get these two points before that little run.

If it is going to be anything like the raid the LifeFM crew did on the Waikerie Bakery last year, Mannum betta look out ;)

I can highly recommend the McCues bakery on Adelaide rd Murray Bridge before you head into Mannum.(opposite the shell servo). For those who like pasties, with a little kick, try the ploughmans pasty. 8)
50c for sauce at Mannum  at an already overpriced bakery.

Are you serious.

Sturt will and should win by 10 goals+

Too many injuries in key areas at the moment unfortunately.

a ''4 point game''..sturt seem to have westies measure but the more you win in a row the closer you are to a loss, if sturt don't respond to the port loss they may as well pack up for the year, i expect a response & sturt to win easily by over 10 goals

The most predictable SANFL club is playing the most unpredictable SANFL team
Andy Collins can go to bed knowing he extracts the best from his honest team
Luke Norman would need anitdepressants, Valuim and Camomile tea to sleep the last few weeks

Whar would be the easiest / quickest way to get to Mannum, I haven't been there for about 10 years I reckon ?

Left or Right from the top of the Parade at the Portrush Road intersection ???

Left at Portrush Rd and then all the way up North East Road and via the back way* through Birdwood etc ?

Or right at Portrush Road, onto the SE Expressway and into Murray Bridge then over and back down the river to Mannum ?

What way would you go if you were leaving from Norwood ?

We have hardly any injuries at the moment. Chubb, Hartlett, Anderson.
