On paper, this looks to be the match of the round. It will be interesting to see if the Redlegs can continue their impressive form of the last month or so.

I'm predicting a very close game, Eagles by 7 points.

It's both the EAGLES AUSKICK DAY & SANFL HEART FOUNDATION KIDS ROUND

What that means is no shortage of family fun and activities on the day.

- Pre-game there is a parade of all the auskick participants in our zone.

- We will have a jumping castle and face painting

- The "E-ZONE" will be launched, a special area for Eagles junior members to watch the game

- Plenty of competitons and giveaways on the days including some Heart Foundation "Jump Rope For Heart" events.

- Plus the usual Centro Arndale Kick for Cash, $200 up for grabs.

Hopefully, the Eagles show up with a team of Auskickers and the Legs show up with plenty of Heart. ;)

After a bye, I'm looking forward to this one. Not just because the last two games between these teams at Woodville have resulted in the kid of the day winning the kick for cash at half time. But because I think we owe the Eagles one after Round 3. The Legs could have won both the reserves and the league games. Some terrible umpiring at the death of both games (including an unreal kicking in danger decision against Zorzi which resulted in a 12 point turnaround at the end of the last quarter, which decison was made by the same umpire for whom Bassett was fined for tearing into after the South game in Rd 2), means I think the players and supporters alike will be especially keen to take the 2 points away.

Notwithstanding the above, Norwood will be very keen to continue on with the momentum gained in its past 4 matches. Winning the last 4 games will count for nothing unless it can continue. From Rounds 10-17, Norwood play the Eagles and Central twice each, as well as Sturt, West, Port and another bye. Results in these 7 games will play a huge part in where the team finishes this year, - not only because the competition is so even - but because these two teams are the genuine pace setters for consistency this year.

I think the Eagles could promote the likes of Lane or Staple to bolster the under-performing forward line .We miss Grocke thats for sure.

Lane is a certainty this week- always good for a couple of goals and can share a run on the ball. After thinking Banner might solve our paucity of rovers, he's been well off the pace and wouldn't surprise if he was dropped again this week (Treeby's injury will save him).
Don't think they will bring Staple up for this one but Jay Schulz must be hanging on to his Power position by the skin of his teeth and always a chance.
Is McKenzie carrying an injury? Just looks out of sorts - a little slower, fumbling and far from the match winner that he was last year. Plenty of upside when Treeby, McKenzie have had poor seasons so far by their standards and kick into gear.

Norwood's last game will do them good, winning but showing they've still got work to do.
Eagles pace still a worry. We're probably lucky this game isn't at night.
Even though the Eagles aren't top of the tree, Norwood win this and they deserve to be considered genuine finalists.
Eagles deserve slight favouritism.
Being at Woodville, I reckon the Eagles by 10 points.

Yeah, they've beaten us at least once the last two years at Woodville.
2008 inspired by Taylor Walker, 2009 Ron Fuller described as something like up there with the 2004 GF as the two worst non-competitive games during his tenure.
Still happier it's a day than a night game ;)

Norwood needs to come to play early
Recent first qtrs against GL/ST/NA have been disappointing

Cant afford to give a lead to the Eags

Yes they can afford to give the Eagles a lead on Sunday, because we are going to beat the Legs.

I'm tipping the Eagles to win this. That makes the Legs an absolute certainty!

for those going to the game, there is roadworks still in progress on the eastern side of the oval so it'll pay to come in from the western side for parking & entry
