You could say the same for most ovals. Well done to the council and North Adelaide FC, can't wait to see the result.

They've tended to straighten the goal posts gradually over the years. When I first attended Prospect Oval in 1970, the goalposts were way over in the right pocket with an enormous adrea in the left pocket. It's a lot better these days.

Ken Farmer could have kicked goals in the bath !
Any improvement to any oval can only be of benefit to SANFL football.
I have heard that the lights at West Adelaide are great too.

One wonders if they will use some common sense and put decent lighting in for night footy, seems obviously the way to go for crowd attendances as has been seen this year with Norwood (continued) and Westies

Has nothing to do with the other clubs, you apply for Govt grants and if you get lucky you get it.

And here was I thinking North had been royally shafted by all and sundry for the last decade, that's been the constant refrain from some Rooster supporters anyway.

I'll be curious to see how they spin nearly a gift of $2M of taxpayer funds into yet more moaning about the injustice of it all. Maybe another march because the project didn't get entirely funded by the Federal Government? :D

A terriific announcement for the NAFC.
I am just so thrilled as a Prospect Council rate payer to be slinging them a Mill or so to update their facilities. Like Port the NAFC must be in huge financial difficulties.Obviously the 2 pokie facilities that they own which we mistakenly believed print money, dont.
I guess North will now at last have enough room in their budget to go out into the marketplace and buy a few players to make themselves competitive.
