Round 8 - North v Norwood @ Prospect Sat 15th May 2.10pm

Postby GWW » Sun May 09, 2010 9:30 pm

It will be interesting to see if Norwood can carry their night form into this week's game against the Roosters at Prospect.

A lot may depend on Taylor Walker's availability for the Redlegs, and if he plays i think the Legs can win by about 21 points.

i think norwood will be favourites with the bookies yet if you framed a market 3 weeks ago north would have been very short, i've seen norwood for the last 3 weeks & north the previous 2 before saturday, norwood are playing with passion, flair & belief, while north were unlucky against us they looked to be a fractured team against central & thefore i'd think norwood will win & presuming they play with the same committment as the last 3 weeks & then they'll win by plenty....norwood by 8 goals (if dry)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Rain or shine, hot or cold, Walker plays or doesn't, North to get pumped. Norwood have all the form, North have none. Hopefully, the bookies don't have Norwood to short.

If Norwood can win this one in a reasonable fashion, I'll start to believe the hype...

The big question this week is ;
- Can North go all out attack and kick 8 goals for the match ????

All the stats back up what Ive seen and I have to say NO

So far this season in 7 games North have scored 69 goals at an average of 9.8 per game but if you take out the South game (where clearly Aliens invaded our players bodies and turned them into normal attacking footballers) we are averaging only 7.3 goals per game! In the last 10 quarters of football we have played (6 of them at home) we have scored a paltry 11 goals!

Of course the opposition are scoring realatively easily against us now too so the all out defense is falling apart! Healy's all out focus on defense is killing any sort of attacking mindset we may have. If this continues to the end of the year which is looking likely then Healy has to go at season's end IMO along with anyone else at North who thinks we should stick with the current game plan.

Me too!

In between round 4 and 5 we went from rabble to relentless. We can easily reverse that this week if the players become over confident.

Vice versa for North.

Actually I'll believe the hype if we sew up a top 3 spot, which wont be til August at least!

North may have a hnady inclusion in their side this week, but you would think he'll at least need a run in the 2's first?

i think north look more settled this week while i wonder if mentally norwood can match the intensity shown over the last 3 weeks without walker....time for norwood to show they are not a one man team

I don't think you can call North settled - I would be "suprised" if Archard plays wirh his well documented groi injury.

That will pave the way for Stewart to come in.

As for Norwood being a one man team - what a stupid comment. That is showing disrespect for their last couple of outings where Walker has been ok but not great.
